Really lovely Les Vin Naturels from Dordogne. — 10 years ago
Orange blossom, ripe pear and Meyer lemon on the aromas. Silky texture on the palate with flavors of pear, kiwi, pineapple and a nice hint of citrus. Beautiful dry white wine with bright acidity and low alcohol. I did enjoy this wine with a Romaine house salad with shrimps an a ligth vinaigrette dressing, just delicious! — 10 years ago

Luzon Verde has long been a staple of Surdyk’s Spanish wine section. The owners of this winery are passionate about organic and sustainable farming, for both health reasons as well as improving the taste of the grapes. Made from 100% organic Monastrell grapes (known as Mourvedre in France) grown in Jumilla in southeast Spain. The wine shows a pretty red purple color with a violet rim, while the nose shows subtle spice, dark berries and floral notes. Flavors of red and black fruits with tobacco and slight earthy notes make for a very interesting wine with soft and round tannins and well-balanced acidity. This is the perfect wine for large gatherings where many different foods are being served.

Staff Selections – Drew Fuller, Surdyks. Wonderful with hamburgers, roasted asparagus and grilled romaine. — 10 years ago
Well balance between fruit, wood and acidity. At 12.5 % alcohol. Aromas of ripe cherry, red currants, tobacco, licorice with earthy and smoky notes. On the palate, dark fruit, root beer, cranberry, fresh mushrooms and a touch of mineral and smoked meat. Had it with roasted pork with Romaine salad and pan seared salmon with a side green salad and pesto dressing. — 10 years ago

Amazing Bordeaux-like Cabernet drinking on the cusp of breaking out - could not wait any longer - had to pull it out! Strong black fruit on the nose with a leathery, tobacco and balanced finish. Outstanding with our main course of steak and grilled romaine. — 9 years ago
