100% negroamaro (worth it for the 1001 wines to try before you die list) — 6 years ago
A great example of Clerico's trademark combination of ripe dark fruit and spice and brown sugar, and with a touch of florality, it is drinking very well now. It won't be mistaken for a traditional Barolo, but it has plenty of its own charms to offer and deserves to be appreciated for what it is more than for what it isn't. — 7 years ago

The 2016 Barbaresco is fabulous. Rich, ample and inviting, with terrific depth, the 2016 opens up beautifully in the glass. Sweet cherry, licorice, mint, rose petal, spice and new leather flesh out effortlessly. More than anything, though, I admire the wine's persistence and overall balance. The 2016 is the finest Barbaresco I have tasted yet from Francesco Versio. This is such a pretty wine. Compared with previous vintages, the 2016 offers more finesse and a more transparent expression of Nebbiolo than I have seen in the past. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, November 2019) — 6 years ago
Last one; still very solid to go with fabulous pizzoccheri on a cold winter night. — 6 years ago
Will be awesome. Very high in tannin. But great balance. Roses and tar. — 8 years ago
Focused rich flavor of dark fruit, must, vanilla. Round and long. — 9 years ago
Not as much tobacco as the previous Barbera we had 2 weeks ago. Low tannin and high acid as normal. Stainless steel and old Slovakian oak. Very Good. 2013 vintage. — 10 years ago
Love this wine! A bit more full than many dolcettos making it wonderful with margarta pizza. 2012 vintage. — 11 years ago
A night with Domenico Clerico, 05,07,08,09 Baroli plus his wonderful dolcetto and barbera and if course his Arte! — 12 years ago

Alto Piemonte Nebbiolo. Gorgeous, pale-brick color. Velvety, leather, ripe black fruit, dried roses, tobacco and tar, but with high-altitude and northern Piedmont freshness, minerals, and perfumed elegance. From Flatiron Wines. — 6 years ago
Nice drinking wine. Dry start. Fruity finish. — 6 years ago

Awesome nose of clove, nutmeg, leather, cigar box. Medium body, mildly tannic finish. Really excellent Barbera. — 10 years ago
Over the top. Everything Barolo is supposed to be. Super fine tannins give some backbone to the fruit but don't overpower. Fantastic wine!! — 11 years ago
We brought this one to Travis's "large format" party. Really nice, classic Italian style. — 12 years ago
