From an estate just a stone's throw across the river from highly esteemed vineyards of Châteauneuf du Pape. The winemaker, Rodolphe de Pins, is a UC Davis grad and one of the former winemakers from Vieux Telegraphe. This wine's pedigree and classic style shows through. Complex and layered with notes of cherry, blackberry, garrigue, and pepper. It continues to bloom with another layer of floral, pine needles, and cedar. Lingering tannins and vibrant acidity polish the lustrous finish. The 2010 vintage was exceptional for the Southern Rhone, this wine included. — 12 years ago
