Vieilles Vignes Châteauneuf-du-Pape 2009

Cedar and perfume. Young tannins. Robust body. Dark and dirty nose. Delightful with gnocchi and roast tomato. Thanks @Snug Dawg ! — 11 years ago

La Guigasse Châteauneuf-du-Pape Grenache 2009

Soy, white pepper, aircraft carrier of big plum jam and cranberry, a touch of heat on the finish, gentle allusions to leather, long way to go but good juice — 12 years ago

Opened up beautifully. Blackberry and pepper with subtle meat notes. For under 15$ you cant go wrong. Its like finding a cheap flight to the Southern Rhone and getting upgraded to business class for free. — 10 years ago

Le Grand Pin Châteauneuf-du-Pape Red Rhone Blend 2011

A delicious wine that should show even more in the next few years. With notes of kirsch and black currant, this soft, but complex wine is delicious. It has slight herbaceous undertones that round out the fruit forwardness. Probably one of the better Chat. Du Papes from this vintage. — 11 years ago

Chapelle Saint-Valéry

Saint-Émilion Red Bordeaux Blend 2012

Old world, so needs food! But with food, complements it very well...beef, lamb, red meats in general. Excellent value for around $25. This was a 2012. 2009 is superior. — 11 years ago
