Fab Vino from a great family run vineyard #newzealand #sauvignonblanc #marlborough — 9 years ago
just as the 2006 sold out, Laina unearthed a small stash of the 2005 at the winery and carried it into the tasting room. Rich, fresh, expansive, & enduring in the long palate. Highly recommended, & very little left. — 9 years ago
Good balance of fruits and elegancy. Already smooth but could be kept for a few more years. — 10 years ago

Spot-on, classic, perfectly delineated Saint Joseph. This is the elegant and pretty side of Syrah. Flowing waves of violets and black pepper lift effortlessly out of the glass with bright red fruits. Mid palate is silk and nearly weightless with fine tannins. Low alcohol and neutral oak profile allow for a very pure expression. Hints of game on the finish with a lingering minerality and a fresh, spicy peppercorn character that would be lovely with a variety of meats and herbs. Beautiful wine that I look forward to revisiting over the next 2-3 years. — 6 years ago

Worthy of its label. Complex, long, constantly changing. 5 more years would help. Decanted 1/2 hour, no sediment. 2006 vintage, opened July 2015. — 9 years ago
A pale clear straw, the '13 Saint Clair Sauvignon Blanc, is another classic NZ-style SB. Big gooseberry and grapefruit aromas followed by tart citrus and pear flavors with some salty mineral notes. Velvety textured mouth with prolonged finish. Paired perfectly with our Creamy Parmesan Chicken Pasta entrée. — 9 years ago
Loved it! Not typical grapefruit flavor but very bright! — 11 years ago

A marvelous showing for the Vergy 2008. Light on its feet yet gorgeously complex, right in between first and secondary aromatics. — 6 years ago
Closed & monolithic to start but opened up nicely needs air to show — 7 years ago
Pale straw colour with hints of green apple. A bouquet of tropical fruits with some herbaceousness and again that green apple edge. Juicy lemon, melon and grapefruit flavours with a light mineral edge and perhaps some dry herbs on the finish. Not overly acidic and although initially quite concentrated it opened up quite quickly. Worth noting that the vineyard's tasting notes advise drinking it within the first 2 years of release. Overall a good value, if atypical, Marlborough (which we found in Costco) though alas not at all to my wife's taste! — 9 years ago
