Shea Vineyard Pinot Noir 2012

One of the best domestic pinot I have had in ages - despite being at a pinot tasting 6 weeks ago this wine stands out - no bubblegum notes here - stems and dried strawberries with an earthy undertone — 10 years ago

Re-tasted 10/15/16. Darker in color, elegant butterscotch bouquet. Beautiful honey, butterscotch fruit. No need to compliment desert, this is it!

Elizabeth Chambers Cellar

Winemaker's Cuvée Pinot Noir 2011

Dark cherries and honey for the nose - jammy on the palate with smooth tannins and a medium to long finish. Good value - would drink again. We enjoyed this at Napa & Co. in Stamford, CT. — 10 years ago

Renaudin Reserve Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon 2012

I could drink 10 bottles of this in one sitting. It is superb and doesn't give me that dry mouth you've-had-too-much taste. Love. — 11 years ago

Château Lafon-Rochet

Saint-Estèphe Cabernet Sauvignon Blend 1970

Beautiful and complex--dried fruits (cherries and blackberry), fresh strawberries, mushrooms, dried herbs, leather, and roasted coffee all beautifully integrated. The tannin...almost gone! And light in color--makes sense that people mistake ancient Bordeaux for red burgundy. Really wonderful and a great cellar find from Chambers Street. — 11 years ago

Brut Non Dosé Vouvray Chenin Blanc

Very champagne notes of toast, creme brulee and ripe apples. A little less dry than champagne, with great chenin body. Very nice champagne alternative at an excellent price from Chambers Street. — 10 years ago

Lang & Reed

Right Bank Napa Valley Cabernet Franc Blend 2005

Put this in your blind tasting. A fully resolved beauty, drinking at peak. I think we should urge @John Skupny - Lang & Reed to resurrect this label. Quite the effort here. — 10 years ago

@Sarah Covey, the wife had a smidge, but we were lucky enough to be at the Philo apple farm for their new concept "farm feast" and the L&R and Navarro folks were pouring. @John Skupny - Lang & Reed busted out these beautiful mags to close things down.
