Ch Palmer 1983. Mid-shoulder, saturated cork. Ripe purple in color, full in the mouth, hint of strawberry in the bouquet. Lovely wine, but the Leoville takes the prize! — 8 years ago
Founded in 1972 by Fred Furth, the CH Estate encompasses 280 acres of vineyards, Recently purchased by Bill Foley, proprietor of Foley Family Wines, continuing Fred Furth's traditions. Had the '13 a year ago and want to see how developing. Aromas of stone fruits and nutty spice. Flavors of ripe apple, peach and pear with underlying creamy honey tones wrapped around notes of toasty oak. Well balanced finishing with citrus zest, long and rich finish, better a year later. A favorite. — 8 years ago

Red fruits, plums and violets. Good length, awesome stuff. Drinks like a Blanc de Noirs. 60% PN, 25% CH, 15% PN — 11 years ago
Ch. Talbot 2005. Elegant, classy, ripe fruit and good oak, round palate, perfect to drink "by the glass" — 12 years ago
These are so good after some bottle time post-disgorgement. Noticeable increase in complexity and length, open for business. Rich, vinous, powerful, classic Ouriet style of gentle oxidation balanced by pristine acid. “White Burgundy with bubbles.” Breadth and depth, golden orchard fruits, slightly baked, cherry blossom, sweet citrus, hazelnut, toffee, curd, chalk and wood spice, savory mushrooms, damp chalk, jasmine, kiss of honey. Grippy, lengthy, zippy, all the best things at once. 70 PN 30 CH, 52 months on lees, 11/2015 disgorgement. — 8 years ago
This was absolutely delicious. Just the right amount of opulence for me. Dense and rich with a beautiful supporting acidity, fine tannins, and an impressive finish (even with my sinusitis working up). Cassis, cream, tobacco leaf, spice, somewhat smoky in the palate, and a touch of pyrazine to finish. Drinking well now, but will definitely see improvement with time.
Notes: 51% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon and 9% Petit Verdot. 2012 had low yields for Ch Palmer. — 8 years ago
Exotic, overt, hedonistic. Everything about this pleasurable and fun. Nose is ripe, vibrant with honey, pastry cream, tangerine, pineapple, baked pear, baking spice, brown sugar, dough. Palate is unctuous, creamy yet zippy with balanced minerality. 75% PN 30% CH 10/2015 disgorgement — 9 years ago
Deliciously floral nose with a touch of spice. Mandarin and orange zest on the front palate with brioche and vanilla on the after. Fantastic length and complexity! 55pn, 45 ch, 35 reserve wines. Aged in oak. Dosage 7g/L — 9 years ago
Ch Margaux wine dinner in Shanghai. 2003 vintage , Pavilion Rouge — 10 years ago
Firm structure, vineous, chalk, mineral, persistent fine bubbles. A bit of tart green apple on the mid palate. 60%PN/40%Ch — 11 years ago
2009 Ch d'Yquem. These are just stunning wines. Turning sauv bl and semm (botrytised albeit) into these jewels is something to marvel at. '09 has an interesting nose of still some sauv bl grapefruit but then caramel and deep trop fruits. 4.2 acid. — 11 years ago
Sweet nose...very smooth for a brut...there is hint of a delicious nutty flavor.. — 13 years ago
Citrus honeyed aromas covey a depth that is realized upon tasting the wine. The late, wet harvest brought about conditions favorable for Botrytis but AT exercised great care sorting the fruit before fermentation. The result is a lovely, youthful CH with compelling length often found in similar CH vintages in Burgundy.

Musar 98 sponsored by Chateau Musar
📝 I've had a few Musar but this library release was one of the best showing the usual funk but had a nice aged smoke through it 😍
Others took detailed notes so go check them out but I'd definitely buy this & in fact I'm going to so I can do it justice of a proper review 😎 as it's a bargain for the quality 👊💥
Musar is Musar & this is a fab example 👍
Thank You Ch Musar for sponsoring our meal 👏 — 9 years ago
