This is the kind of Pinot I love. Fruit in the nose, dirt and tannins in the taste. I’m a big fan of this one. The comments are ridiculous. — 4 years ago

Slightly sweet went well with chicken tender salads on 7.04.19. 2016 vintage if that really matters here.... — 5 years ago
Plenty of fruit. Not very complex but good body. Thanksgiving 2018 Houston — 6 years ago
Tight. Some astringency but not in a "cabfranc" stemmy way. Needs to open up? Definitely needs food. Delicious acidity.
Enjoying with a steak au poivre. — 6 years ago
It's in solid shape. Dark chocolate & mocha powder influenced; blackberries, dark cherries, cherries, strawberries, plums, just a whiff of green bell peppers & jalapeño, crushed brown volcanic rocks, mushroom, steely minerals, dry stems, decayed floral bouquet, fudge w/ nuts, orange peel, chocolate pudding, rich semi-sweet black turned earth, dry stones, vanilla, light spice-box, grilled meats, cigar, used leather, steeped tea, brewed dark roast coffee, anise, toffee, nutmeg, cloves, cinnamon, brilliant acidity, great; balance, tension, length, structure with a round, lush, full evenly mixed blend of all of the above on the long finish. Crazy, complex, every changing in the mouth beautiful Merlot. What was Paul talking about in Sideways? I'm thinking Mediterranean prepared Lamb Shank pairing. Oh...what were you doing in 1996? — 7 years ago

Peppery, herbal, big. Reminds of a good non Rhône Syrah. Exiting wine. Should improve over the years. — 6 years ago
Beautiful pale gold in the glass with thin edges. Pineapples, pears, honey crisp apples, and vanilla on the nose. The aromas don’t try to overpower you with, instead they subtly seduce you. Plush mouthfeel and incredible balance. This is not a stereotypical buttery Chard, nor is it overoaked. There’s oak to be had here but just about the right amount. On the palate, the citrus qualities come to life more but not in an overbearing manner. Lemon, more pears, and melon on the forefront with butterscotch and apple pie on the backend. A little unexpected spice note on the finish takes this baby home. Classic but not austere, a bit of elegance without the pomp. Very nice stuff. — 7 years ago
Very good. Slightly sweet, could be a good digestif too. Medium bubbles. Almost fruity flavour — 8 years ago

Really good but drink around now. Stewed fruits but still fresh. Not a Bordeaux style but a bit larger with elegant and a bit of power. Glad I could share this with my folks. Fruits are rhubarb now after about an hour. Leaning down a little but still good. Definitely open the bottle of you have it soon imo — 9 months ago
