Almost jarring the contrast, coming to this after the Rouget - so much structure and scaffolding in this one, fortunately without being foursquare. Nice follow up after Emmanuel Rougets Vosne Romanee 2009. This one really threw many of us off. Perhaps it was because the person who brought it slow-oxed it since morning. Anyway here goes... This was lovely. Reductive at first, but later revealing delicate pomegranate, blood orange, dried flowers and juicy acidity. Very expressive, relatively clean style (a bit mousy on the finish) at a modest price point. One to seek out for sure. — 6 years ago
