My first Jura wine. Glad I finally got around to trying one...

The nose is a bit like a Fino in character, with pronounced saline and mineral aromas, and there are also persimmon, apple, and lychee notes. On the palate, there is that Fino quality, but much more tart, green apple and citrus. High acid, but it is well-integrated and the wine has good overall balance. The finish is lingering with tart fruit and a chalky note. Really tasty and interesting. — 10 years ago

It seems like in the Jura there is always a new treasure to be found. Especially for acidity-seekers. Francois Rousette is making topped-up wines around Château-Chalon since 2007, but it is the first time I came across them.
