Comes out earthy and a touch funky, which fades with time open, leaving behind pure brambly berry fruit. Delicate, with good concentration and length. — 2 years ago
Light cherry red. Fat medium running tears. Cherry black currant first now, light almond or another savoury note there. Long finish long finish. Discernable whole cluster tannins tannins. Medium acid — 5 years ago
Good, but ready to drink. Very savory in a briny olive way. Not as green as I thought it might be though. — 9 years ago

Burgundy done at a very high level — 5 years ago
The 2014 is excellent. Very true to Forey’s elegant and linear style. Red fruit aromas are very pure and high-toned with a bit of orange peel character on top. Lovely spice and smoky mineral character. Good cut on the entry, slightly thin mid palate but a lingering energy and subtle concentration on the finish. This is not going to grab your senses with weight or power, but delivers impact nonetheless. — 5 years ago
Fruit forward and lush, like other 02s I have had, but showed better than my first bottle. — 7 years ago

Such a unique take on Zinfandel. Lower alcohol and much more red-fruited than is typical, the nose has great purity of cherry and raspberry compote, crushed rock, and a dusting of baking spice. In the mouth it’s got great flavor concentration in an aerodynamically lean package. Intense red fruit and lots of crushed rock. Great acids. A perfect summer Zin. This winery never disappoints, in my experience. — 10 months ago

2023 summer. Still lots of dark berry fruit and powdery density - it would be even better bwith 10 more years, but tasty and engaging now — 8 months ago
