Raspberries and other assorted red fruit, finishes with tarragon. Beautifully bright. A good pair with our cassoulet. — 8 years ago
Didn't really show up to play tonight. Perhaps some air will improve. Very closed and one dimensional. Off bottle? Day 2 & 3: Ok here we go. Compote, leather, earth, garrigue, violet, sweet spices, forest, animal. Needs time. Maintains a certain richness while expressing a sense of elegance. — 9 years ago

Not very tannic. From wine shop on 7th near 9th Street. Brought to David and Amy's. — 11 years ago
Cherry, tannin, leather. Route but not overly fruity. Resembles Italian style, sold as forte — 6 years ago
I tend towards dichotomous labeling. I struggle: How can something be both light and dense? For the new year I’m going to focus on letting things be their complicated selves... so when you ask me: What’s good fam? I might say: a multiplicity! 1 <3 — 8 years ago

Solid rose. Very tasty and great value. — 9 years ago
Almost overwhelming stony minerality in the nose, along with black olive and mesquite smoke(?). Only a vague whiff of black cherry under all that. Intense flavors attack the palate. Dark minerals, beef blood, dark blackberry skins, roasted herbs. Full body. Long long finish. Still significant tannin, but it's soft. This will last at least 2-3 more years. Really good. — 9 years ago
Medium dark color, luscious full body. Overripe fruit, earth, must on nose. Medium acid, very faint tannin, likely from stem and seed. Slight pepper finish on nose. Overall complex and awesome for the price — 9 years ago
Black fruit, cassis, big round tannins, elegant — 10 years ago
Dry for Syrah; slightly astringent. A great value. — 10 years ago

Upon recommendation from the wine ship guy, i opened this 2-3 hours before tasting, which was good, except for tge fact that it got too warm. I popped it back in the fridge for 20 minutes and then it was perfect. Very fruit forward and fresh with a nice structure despite its youth (2017 tasted in August 2019). All the guests loved it. — 6 years ago
