Deep red with a clear rim. Lovely leathery aromas of herbs and winter berries, nutmeg, and blackberry tea. It's lean and tannic on the palate, with clear, straight lines. Not one hint of fruity sweetness (grâce à Dieu), but more notes here of green berries and tea. It has a lovely texture—not too drying, not too strident. Overall a great Rosso, and it should be, for the price. 14% abv | $28 (sample) — 11 years ago
