Flows down nicely, fruity, low acidity and was a delicious pairing with a classic lasagna. — 4 years ago

Traditional GSM blend. Dark ruby/purple color. Aromas of red and black fruit, leather and spices. Ripe strawberry, pomegranate, currant and plum fruit on the palate along with hints of tobacco, vanilla and black pepper. Slight touch of minerals on the medium-plus finish. Full bodied and light on the tannins and acidity. Thanks for opening, Keith S. — 5 months ago
At the vineyard for a tasting with Kathleen, Jay and Josie Barton, Jenny Rhodes. A bit less tannin than the 2020. Bolder than the estate Pinot Noir. — 3 years ago

2018 vintage. Léoville-Poyferré-involved concern. 73% Malbec 18% Cabernet Sauvignon 5% Petit Verdot 3% Syrah 1% Cab Franc. 100% delicious. Medium/medium-heavy body. Nice balance of grip/zip and sleeko suave. Can hold its own in a street fight now or be the scheduled, 12-round, main event in 2040-your choice. $28.85 resto cost on 3 cases. 14.5% ABV. Definite big red blend value contender. 04.13.25. — 7 months ago
Certainly not refined, but this 2005 Ch. Moulin Riche (at the time branded as the second wine of Léoville-Poyferré) is an earthy, gutsy Saint-Julien from a superb vintage that carries its sixteen years of age with aplomb, even from half bottle. Almost no bricking, the colour is a vibrant mid ruby.
Very funky on the nose (a little brett, I think), even with two hours of air, there’s a spicy core of cassis, blackberry, plum, cedar, even cinnamon, which is all contained within a rich palate and a framework full of tannin and energy. The finish is long, vibrant, and mouthwatering. I must say I really respect this wine. I would expect it to continue to age well.

Grenache, cinsault, Syrah I was drinking red but opened this to cool down the seared tuna I made with crusted peppercorns. Paired nicely. Crisp, dry, refreshing. Enjoyed. Will bring rest of bottle to the beach this weekend. I bought this several weeks ago as a buy one get one free at Publix. Very good buy. Would buy again not on sale. — 7 years ago
