Great Austrian wine, lots of guitar flavor and very smooth. One of my new favorite sweet reds. — 8 years ago
Brown color. The most aggressive characteristics of this wine in aroma and flavor at this point in its life are raisinated fruits, licorice and menthol. There's also juicy tomato, the inside of an acoustic guitar, and find black table pepper. Sweet tannin and a creamy full body, but so silly smooth that it can feel light as a feather. On the the finish there's menthol, it gains a tart cherry flavor and the tannins turn up the heat drastically. Hands down the best I've ever had from Bulgaria. — 9 years ago
Crisp has a warm flavor about it. Goes well with a Friday night and an acoustic guitar. — 9 years ago
Toasted bread-bowl jacuzzi filled with raspberry jam; Hawaiian steel guitar soundtrack; vintage station wagon fins. — 9 years ago
Maybe it's because I haven't had a Petite Syrah in a while or maybe it's because this wine is phenomenally underrated, but whatever the reason, don't miss out on a kick ass wine! Complex , deep, mysterious raspberry and current flavors inundate the pallet with an intense desire for dark chocolate, Spanish guitar, and romance! Make life happen, people! — 10 years ago
If you want a lighter Cabernet this is for you. 2011 produced wines with a lighter style. Good guitar and moderate tannins. #winestudio — 10 years ago
A truly satisfying, fruit driven red at a reasonable, quaffable price. — 12 years ago
Like an epic guitar solo from a young Eddie Van Halen. This will rock your grill piece clean off like your name was Castor Troy. #NicCageLives — 8 years ago
Kicking back letting the local tunes adjust my attitude with wine:30 showing on the clock she strolls in my direction digging the slow roll Hendrix spinning left then twisting right dressed in deep purple clinging and flowing interestingly crimson along her rim and edges back to casually claret whispering that she's from a small chateau hanging on the right bank of the Gironde near Arveyres. Offering her hand, I accept pulling her in close then a slow spin and a slower twirl she comes close bathed in the essence of blackberry and spice, young but ripe, wet earthy slowly working her way to a first kiss dripping then gripping, pulling tightly then going soft and silky still clinging while working her way deeper. I close my eyes, Hendrix stops and she's gone. A distant guitar string bends an unknown player. I spot her by the bar, her colors waving in the breeze of a lazy fan I reach out take her firmly by the neck, then lower bending her gently back then spinning her my way, she again engages, her essence lingering in my memory, we dance on as the tunes continue their spin. Later, when we are both done I figure she's likely a fine Merlot brightened by Cab Franc having found her way through new French oak nestled by the river, intelligently nuanced well worth the dance and cost is not an issue...
Hanging at Promise' Land Market where the tunes are always righteous, the people are cool, the conversation is groovy and wines dance from the walls... — 8 years ago
Right there with Red Guitar. - Costco — 9 years ago
The wine first hits the tongue with strong hints of tree bark and whimsy. Full-bodied and velvety, like the tongue of a mysterious stranger. It dances through your mouth like the moonbeams on a greek beach. It trips down your throat like the thrum of a Spanish guitar. — 9 years ago
All it needs is a guitar solo from The Edge of U2 — 9 years ago
Very light, smooth, easy drinking. Enjoyed with live acoustical guitar, grilled chicken, spinach and quinoa salad, a vegetable relish, and corn bread. — 10 years ago
Been drinking this over the past 5 years, it's getting leaner and meaner. Pepper, angular, searing. A screaming guitar solo J Mascis style — 10 years ago
I think it is perfect blend. Not too sweet or strong. — 11 years ago
Who said it best? Like chewing on electric guitar strings. Brilliant! — 11 years ago
Interesting to read through the comments in this wine, it's not for everyone, but I love it. It reminds me of Big Black, if anyone remembers them from the 80s, the stark tannin structure is like that metallic grating guitar, cleansing, purifying, hard, stripped down. Orange wine is stripped down, it is missing the veneer of fruit and color, that is part of what is so special about it. It is like bauhaus architecture, you see the steel girders and the electrical conduit. This one is particularly that way. With a delicious resolution. — 8 years ago
This wine is a Santa Cruzian cousin of Air Guitar. Cool climate cab shining bright from on of my favorite AVAs and a great old site. Delicious. — 8 years ago
By far my favorite. Red, sweet, fruity, smooth. It's like drinking juice — 9 years ago
Yes. This is a white Zinfandel. No. It is not sweet. But still, it made me want to go grab my guitar and sit out on my back deck and play some John Prine songs. Either that or fill up the old bath tub out on the lawn and sit butt naked in some cool water on a hot day while slamming the whole bottle to my head. But seriously... we had this with Salmon and Yellowtail sashimi and it was perfect. This is a fantastic food wine and an even better porch pounder. — 9 years ago
Beautiful yet edgy stuff here, didn't expect to be so thrilled by it. Polished plums with bloody butcher's block undertow. Acidity like perfectly executed guitar distortion. A big fan of de Villaine family Bouzeron when in Burgundy for precisely this type of acidity current. Strong memory of seeking the shade in bright sunlight as a child. Poetry huh -must be a good wine... Love the bottle shape between Burgundy and Bordeaux? 2009 vintage — 10 years ago
After long day on the Harley, this crisp rose from Provence proves clean showing an essential mineral-based quench washing away the trail dust and enriching the scallops, etc. in the brilliant French garden @ The Market Place on 20 Wall Street as sweet jazzy guitar works with the wine melting the neck and shoulder stress associated with 7 hours in the saddle screaming across NC, from my azure Carolina coast to our monster waves of blue mountains - Asheville! Sublime almost all the time! Cheers — 11 years ago
