Yes it was a 2007 as once again it was in a 375 shiner. Totally fooled on this. More dense than I would've expected for 07. A touch reduced but not in too funky of a way. Learned some interesting things about reduction tonight from Diana and Jeremy. How it's much more likely to occur with properties using Biodynamic farming practices. Fascinating. — 7 years ago

Starting off 2017 with the right mindset; focusing on family and friends. And great wines! First vintage of Revana. After more than a 15 year nap, this beauty is drinking like an elegant right bank Bordeaux born from valley floor fruit and crafted with the artistry of Heidi Barrett. Cedar, burnished leather, spice box, and dusty blackberry dominate the nose. The palate is still showing plump black fruit, along with crushed rocks, graphite, and black olive. Hints of cherry and black pepper linger on the finish. Very elegant. Thank you @David L for gifting this gem to @Diana L and me. We are thoroughly enjoying it together on this chilly evening, awaiting the snow. Cheers to you and Kristen! — 7 years ago

This had me smiling from ear to ear and was, to me, as perfect as a wine could be. Everything was in harmony and such a great middle road between old and new world. This wine is so distinct I think I could pick it out blind. Dark fruit just dominates the nose - blueberry jam and boysenberry. The palate is smooth and lush. While the nose has jam, the palate is not extracted or sweet. It just is a perfect orchestra in a glass. I know that sounds corny but it's true. This wine is so beautiful and has a long life ahead of it. I've been fortunate to have many "100 pointers" and some have been great, but this is my first perfect 10 for me on Delectable. My better half argues 9.8 but I'm the one on this app so my call!! And, PS, it paired perfectly with Diana Ross live - this wine is "The Boss." — 7 years ago

Color of deep opaque purple, almost only. Nose of cocoa from a foot away, some leather, dried strawberries, and sweet tobacco. Nose is quite nice. Taste is off. Quite acidic, dilute, and bitter. I feel the nose is good but the content is empty. Quite spicy and bitter on the aftertaste.
Luckily, the taste is much netter on the 2nd day. With bitterness fades away, the flavors come alive. I can taste nice sugar plum and vanilla sweetness on the tongue, with some hotness. — 7 years ago
