Unexpectedly delicious. Reasonable price ($20) at k and l. Pinot in the way that I like it not too sweet. Lovely acid, a bit of wood and even some leather. A light red with character! — 4 years ago

Gripping, austere, reductive, mineral-laced and utterly cerebral. That describes the general appeal of this very well-crafted entry level bottling. But it remains expressive, aromatic, lifted and graceful. This vintage has proven to be one of the best gateways into serious and traditional Burgundy wines for many of my customers, earning it a couple of extra points from me. — 5 years ago
Toasty new oak aromas earthy cherry 🍒 wish the fruit wasn't as suppressed by the oak -still nice — 7 years ago
Big, bold and delicious from the dark dark cherry colors and complex nose of leather, slight licorice, hearty mushrooms, dried oak limbs... Through the first sip that suffuses the palate with steely minerals and then slides into those favors mid-palate that were in the nose. An acidic finish that will undoubtedly round and mellow in coming years... And likely if I have patience to let it breathe.
Totally worth cellars g for a few years — 8 years ago

Bright, but quite ripe, red cherry with almond, nice herbaceous notes and light nutmeg. Reductive notes are there, but not overpowering... so a plus for me. YMMV. A little time to breathe helps.
Thanks to 2015, this is delicious now, but there’s enough grip to hold for a couple years.
So, nowadays we’re paying $48 in Dallas for Hautes-Côtes de Nuits... 2015 is a banner year for everyone apparently. — 6 years ago

Nice color and enticing nose of autumnal forest and notes of overripe red fruits. A bit acidic on palate and medium finish. May have waited too long but still a nice wine for the very large Turkey wings! — 3 years ago
Earthy aroma. Acidic, slight stimulation to my throat. Strawberry and sour berries. 2015 @1250, Kping -, 201217-201219 — 3 years ago
Meyer lemon, lemon curd, crushed granite, round finish. — 4 years ago
One of THE superb values in the US market for Hautes Côtes de Nuits. This is the Saint Martin Monopole which delivers serious gravitas and value. Lemon oil, golden apple, white flowers, honey and butterscotch delivered with very fine acidity and seamless texture. Mouthfeel is silky and superb. — 6 years ago
Breathing a little easier today- in every sense. — 7 years ago
This really needs 5 years but wanted to check in. Nose is all stoned and red licorice. Some nice cherry as well. Substantial nose. You can smell this will need air. Beautiful fruit. Juicy and rich with wonderful freshness. Amazing length. For a wine so humble this is super impressive. Deep. Mineral. Serious. — 7 years ago
A gorgeous burgundy. Great to cook with and lovely to enjoy with the meal. — 9 years ago
