@Tracy Hall got me thinking about these, so I brought a few home. I knew this one was not going to last very long, but I didn't know I would drink it on the first night! This would be a really fun wine to serve at a blind tasting. Everyone would guess this was Italian if served in the first 2-3 hours after cork pop. This wine starts off with black cherry, cola, mint, allspice. Hint of age on the nose and on the palate it shows as an earthy note. There is a mushroom note here towards the finish. As the wine sits beyond the 3 hour mark, it develops a plum and almost kind of a green olive note. Finishes soft with a touch of acidity. I wouldn't say that this wine has too many years left, and this is my last of this vintage. — 7 years ago

Enjoyed at the winery in Sonoma enough to ship some home. Wish we'd bought more! Delightful solo and versatile in pairing. Light tannins and balanced berry dominant finish. — 9 years ago
Big zin! Rooftop hangout time with Tracy and the patient — 9 years ago
This bone-dry Michigan Riesling is a mineral-driven wine. Light golden in color, it has a nose of citrus peel and a wet driveway. The aromas aren't terribly complex, but as Spencer Tracy said, “What’s there is cherce.” On the palate there are flavors of lemon and lime with a chalky minerality. Acidity is almost racy, certainly zippy enough to handle a sandwich or salad. The finish is lengthy and reminiscent of an older vintage Riesling, quite nice. — 6 years ago
Big. Some fruit. Tight in a smooth way. Tracy preferred 06 cakebread from night before but would do it again for 40 — 7 years ago

Almost the opposite of the Heidsieck. Super clean, Tracy and minerality. Both excellent in their own way. Jean Milan flies under the radar but is a great bargain. — 8 years ago
Incredible nose of apricot, peach, maybe a bit of orange blossom honey, and honeydew melon. Bright and fruit forward, with an undercurrent of Salinic minerality. Like No other SB I have ever smelled. Palate is surprisingly bone dry, with a little more of the gooseberry note of a SB, and searing a acidity. Feels young and set for a long road of development. More open on day 3, but plenty more stuffing. — 9 years ago
Newer vintage. Opened up nicely after about 20 minutes. Red fruit, some reductive notes with bright acidity. @Tracy Huff @M Connelly — 9 years ago

2008 Vintage. 14.3% Alcohol. @Tracy Hall is right on. 2008 as a vintage was not greatly reviewed, but this is drinking very well. — 6 years ago
