Domaine Bernard Baudry

Les Granges Chinon Cabernet Franc 2013

Reminded us of a number of sours we've had of late. Consecration?Funky or bretty/yeasty and herbaceous. Much lighter than we thought it would be. Interesting — 10 years ago

The Bruery makes their sours more sour than just about anyone, but the bitter kumquat is a great contrast. 2013 vintage. — 10 years ago

Next to Cantillion the king of sours for me. Something reminiscent of Roulot with reductive sulphur compounds, but cross-bred with god's Arnold Palmer. Majestic in the weird, dirty way only sours can be. — 10 years ago

Poiré Authentique Pear Cider

Perfect warm up bottle before champagne. Palette prep is on point here turning on all the bitters, sours, sweets, and textures. This is my third round for this bottle and I am sure there will be many more if I have anything to say about it. This is the perfect drink for any moment all aspects considered in my opinion...if you haven't tried it I can't recommend it more highly. — 10 years ago

Not nearly as terrible as Russian River. Comic Sans? Common...maybe there's a corollary between terrible design and great beer?

Yeah a craft beer store is like a 9th grade computer design class: lots of WordArt, bad puns, innuendos, and even the occasional Papyrus font

Quite an amazing Rosé. The fullness of the palate is an instant surprise. Fruit driven and very well balanced. For someone who can either "take it or leave it" when it comes to Rosé, this is an exceptional wine!! — 12 years ago

Duchesse de Bourgogne Flanders Red Ale

A strong, complex sour. Some sours tend to dull by the last few sips, this one packs a punch until the end. Super fine bubbles contribute to an almost creamy mouth feel. A real treat. — 10 years ago

Apoth Brewing

Mixed Fermentation Ale

Been getting busy with sours/Bretts as of late and I have to say that this is the most impressive I have had thus far.. Tart but not too, simplistic and bares an edge of decisiveness. The barrel age is on point! — 11 years ago

This wine is really showing nicely opening up as the night goes on with a good amount of cigar box spice black earth 3/4 red mountain fruit but it changes every year both have red willow merlot far western Yakima I'm he foothills the sours are the omers and they built a chapel on the hill and buried a bottle of hermitage there in honor of the oldest Syrah vineyard in Washington — 11 years ago
