Soft but serious, earthy and elegant — 8 years ago
Earth and funk overshadow the fruit, but wonderfully made with nice notes of dark cherry and plum underneath all that earthy funk. Nice wine, but I prefer my Beaujolias from Fluerie, as it fronts the fruit more. — 9 years ago
Juliénas with a Volnay soul. Even better the next day. 2012. — 9 years ago
Good darkness, cherry brightness with lingering length in typicité w a Juliènas. I like that it's a bit rough around the edges, great for summer. — 10 years ago
Cru Beaujolais, the best red wine for food? This one is fresh and jammy, refreshing and lip-smackingly delicious. Drink with food, it goes with almost anything. Italian, French, tortillas... — 6 years ago

Medium ruby aromas of iodine, dried rose petals, & garrigue. Medium acidity with a fruit character that matches nose plus gamey quality. Very tasty. Character: Daniel Day Lewis in Last of the Mohicans — 8 years ago
Sparkling Gamay from Beaujolais. Grown in the granitic soil near the cru of Juliénas, this rosé barely qualifies as such. Just enough hue to compare to onion skins, it drinks far more like a white. Fresh, bright and fruity with cherry skins and richness from lees aging. — 9 years ago

Bomb of a CruBeauj! 15%alc. Never knew such a beast existed. Tasted at Arl. Most dif of the 40 crubeauj that night. Shared this at work and went over everyone's head. Warm, Dark plummy types of fruit. Not unbalanced despite the crazy alc. — 5 years ago

Very serious and ageable Juliénas with a beautiful purity of stewed cherry fruit, cigar box and sweet spice. Hauntingly good (especially considering its David's first vintage). One for the cellar and to look out for in future. — 6 years ago
Cherry and blackberry and maybe some sort of soil on the nose.
A bit dry, not sweet, gripping but moderate tannins.
Bitter cherry, grapefruit rind.
A light wine with a grippy finish highlighting the citrus rind. — 7 years ago
