2014. All around great wine. — 6 years ago
One of the 3 second wines of 5th growth Haut Bages Liberal. Even better than the last time - typical Pauillac barnyard notes. 92 — 7 years ago

Started super tight and tannic but opened beautifully. Not too sweet. Bright. Medium body. 2012 — 9 years ago

On the nose: cedar, leather, cassis. Medium to full-bodied with a long finish. Better than Haut Bages Liberal — 11 years ago
Have CdP somewhat rarely now but was curious to try this both because it’s 2016 and because it’s now owned by the Cazes family of Lynch-Bages in Bordeaux and who have been extremely hospitable to us in the past. Was skeptical of the 15% labeled abv but I think this is in a great place with a bit of a chill. The fruit is quite powerful, but in a great way, and nothing is overbearing. Perfect with skirt steak off the grill. — a year ago
The 2018 Grand Puy Lacoste has a quintessential Pauillac nose of intense black fruit infused with graphite scents, pencil shavings and a very discreet marine influence. It is beautifully defined, less opulent than the 2018 Lynch Bages tasted alongside, yet maybe more complex. The palate is medium-bodied and taut, offering sappy black fruit, gritty tannins and a lot of crushed stone. The focused, graphite-driven finish could only come from this appellation. Superb. A wine to correct those bemoaning that Bordeaux no longer makes "proper Claret." (Neal Martin, Vinous, March 2021)

This wine is going to surprise a few people this year. Soft tannins and nice florals already. — 8 years ago
2011 vintage. Spectacular wine that is really still getting better. Pale golden hue. Grapefruit, grassy, white blossom, honeysuckle, mineral and appetising. On the palate, medium body and medium plus acidity which gives a lemon zesty note to the wine. The mineral character is more apparent and there's a green pea note too. Good concentration and long finish. Fabulous and unbelievable value. A top top wine. — 9 years ago
Wonderful nose - macerated berry, tomato leaf, mild cheese (cheddar maybe) white pepper.
Flavor. Medium alcohol, medium high acid, silky and delicious, nose matches taste - tighter tannins. Very good. — 10 years ago
Wish I had more of these. Amazing purity of fruit...and that gravely graphite. Loved it. — 11 years ago
Dericious 😘 — 11 years ago
Low aroma, light bodied, citrus accents with a slightly bitter aftertaste. Easy to drink, pairs well with gazpacho, vegetable dishes, and sea bass. — 2 years ago

Very true. Will seek more. — 5 years ago
Black cherry, worn leather, and licorice are nothing new together, but this has a skillful balance of brightness and brooding that keeps me plenty interested. Unexpected blend. A great bargain. — 6 years ago
Dark cassis, red florals and milk chocolate on the nose. Blackberries, dark cherries, cooked strawberries, creamed raspberries, dry cranberries, sawdust, spice, tea, some cola, the high tannins are resolving, lower acid, juicy fruits make for an enjoyable finish. Great value wine for a 2009. Drinks well now and for the next 10 plus years. Made by The technical team at Lynch Bages. — 7 years ago
