75 Bordeaux in great shape from a very good — 8 years ago
Still plenty of personality to this, but neither the freshest nor cleanest bottle of wine you're likely to come across. Starts out smelling of musty attic and old used books, and it never kicks it entirely, but does pick up enough other elements like cedar and cigar box to keep things interesting. What it doesn't really pick up is any fruit, which is fine for its age, but it's a bit disappointing once you compare it to something like the '75 Beychevelle which is in much better shape now with plenty more stuffing. The tannins have completely melted away so the texture is fine and it goes down easy. Interesting now, but would have been better 5-10 years ago. — 8 years ago
Beautifully balanced, great texture, delightfully savory. — 10 years ago
Beautiful wine with an elegant full body. Did not linger in the mouth as long as expected. The fruit tones were slightly muted. Drank this with a 1975 chateau Beychevelle — 8 years ago
You can smell a flavor of vanilla and when you taste it, a licorice aroma appear at the end. Just an amazing 16 years old wine!!!

Tasted 1/20/2017 At UGCB 2014 Vintage tasting in Miami. At the Biltmore.
Mixed black and red fruits on the nose, with a firm palate of cassis, earth, and and some wood. Nose a little more subdued, and lacking some of the richness of the Beychevelle at this stage, but this seems built to age and will likeley develop with time.
