Black cherry and strawberry — 4 years ago
100% Montepulciano d’Abruzzo
Medium salmon pink. Clear and transparent.
Stuffy, earthy aromas of mushroom, wet logs, forest floor. Slightly vegetal and savoury.
Med plus plus acidity, med low tannin, and med low body. Welcome to the funky town. Floral sensations intersperse with savoury notes and barnyard funk. Fruit profile leans toward red cherry, with a bit of raspberry and strawberry.
Very interesting rose. I have never had anything like this before. Would definitely have this again but with food though. 90. — 7 years ago
Super dark. Mineral, cherry, leather, lots of bright acid. From Seventh Avenue Liquors. — 7 years ago
This is one of the best Italian wines I've had. Absolutely beautiful, balanced, nose is powerful and pallet matches. Bing cherry tart pie with a long finish and a little smoke on the nose — 7 years ago

It's hard to find a Ro-say to compete with this one! Plump, vibrant and concentrated. — 11 years ago
More dark fruit and juice than the Frappato. I love it. Tasty and fun, juicy with a little pepper / volcanic pop at the finish. — 2 years ago
Bright and clear ruby. Abundant nose of black cherry and light leather. Medium palate gives the same combination plus blackberry and a slight herbal note. Medium plus acidity and medium plus tannins (especially on the medium long finish). A wonderful food wine (as is to be expected) from Sicily’s native DOCG variety that’s light enough for warm weather fare including red-sauced seafood. Enjoy as an alternative to Pinot Noir in similar places. Drink now through 2027. — 4 years ago

Nice balance — 7 years ago
This vintage is darker and more concentrated than in the past, and at 14,5%, this is not your standard rose'. Raspberry, strawberry, an overall smoky/earthy feel, and minimal funk for a natural wine. A touch of sweetness shows up on the finish. Consistently good, year after year. — 7 years ago
A nice wine - 60/40 Nero/Frappato, but prefer the more elegantly aged ParaPara. Still better than Cos IMO. — 8 years ago
Bright cherry tart. From Delancy — 8 years ago
Recommended by Luigi at Marechiaro in Gallipoli. Negroamaro does shine through well here. — 9 years ago
