May very well be the best Macallan whisky 🥃 I’ve had taste-wise. — 8 years ago

Caramel brittle on the nose, very light at first and explodes into a crescendo of subtle flavours -- vanilla and spice. Long and complicated finish. The taste just seems to grow infinitely after you've swallowed. — 11 years ago
@Bill Bender Wish you and the remainder of the 🍷Wine Nerd Herd🍷 were here right now! This baby is going down so ever so smoothly! You would really dig it! And so would they!!! — 8 years ago

12 years old and still vibrant and rich in flavors with sediment at the end. Dark with complex red fruit and a touch of oak to highlight the mouth coating body. Elegant finish!!! Top level 2005. — 8 years ago

Sweet, spicy, and bottled at just the right age and proof. Spectacular offering from #Balvenie. — 10 years ago
This was one of the last bottles produced. An exceptionally great tasting scotch to enjoy with exceptionally great friends. — 11 years ago
I had the 2005 in 2015. Rubicon (now Inglenook) prides themselves on this ubiquitous Cabernet. The tannins are soft and light, not what you'd expect from a Cabernet Sauvignon, but you should. The aging process takes the teeth from the lion.
Regardless, this is still a big bold Cab. Heavy berry flavors: black currant and dark cherry dominate. Barrel notes show up as nut(almond & walnut) and tobacco flavors. A fantastic Cab that comes alive when paired with beef. — 11 years ago
Aged Cab, still has pretty decent structure and fruit. Held up well — 12 years ago
