Holy crap. Where did I get this? Who's going to sell me lots?? — 8 years ago
Le grand Bordeaux à son apogée tel que je les adore! Que c'est bon ces vins avec 20 ans de cave! Du velours en bouche, grande longueur, des arômes tertiaires à tomber par terre! — 8 years ago
Beauty. Cave du Chardon. — 6 years ago
No decant; straight from the Cave. Lovely spice aromas here (cloves, cinnamon, walnut), supported by fine oak, tobacco and aged cigar box scents. Complex. Medium-body, still shy! Plums, dark cherries and an iron-like close on the still tight finish. Rich fruits shining through but tightly restrained by still lively tannins. Impressive. — 7 years ago

Traditional, refreshing N. Rhone syrah. — 8 years ago
Stunning Northern Rhone Syrah. Beautifully balanced, very smooth on opening. Even better the following day (half bottle each time). Even at £15, good value, courtesy of Tesco. — 8 years ago
Il a fallu 2 bons jours d ouverture en cave pour que ça devienne plaisant , mais après c est fin , frais , belle profondeur — 8 years ago
Fantastic wine, earthy but with a long silky finish. £8.50 in Co-Op bargain — 6 years ago
Very pretty wine. Tastes more like a St Joseph blanc than Vacqueyras. Quite rich. Recommend by Mathieu. — 7 years ago
Un peu gras. Légèrement salée plutôt agréable. Jolie bouquet avec notes dominante de rubarbe. Un bel équilibre gras/acidité. Très minéral. Dommage les vins suisse sont trop cher — 7 years ago
Rich earthy chocolatey powerful. Elé sortie-d from her cave! — 7 years ago
Last night was the Confrerie St. Etienne Spring dinner. It was my first time attending. This is a chapter of the original group out of Alsace, France, and is the only chapter here in the US...just happens to be in my neck of the woods! Great introduction to Alsace wines.
Kind of surprised at the reviews here for this wine. Maybe people rated the wrong one? This grand cru Riesling was paired with a Chilean sea bass and both were excellent. Not a lot of petrol on the nose, but it checked off most Riesling notes of honeycomb, pear and had that lovely sweet and quick finish on the palate. — 8 years ago

As good as last time. I confirm. And there's pepper. Very herbal. Somewhere at the top of my list. — 6 years ago
