Last bottle of Syrah from Chris Lawler era at Times Ten. A bit of funk with dark spices, plum, ripe red cherries, nice acidity & tannins. Aged very well. — 9 years ago

Wow--to top things off--this is the Diptyque ancient cathedral scent as a beverage. Exotic and delicious --also nice as ingredient in the fresh strawberry granita palate cleanser! From Dig SF — 10 years ago
Very light but tasty. — 11 years ago
The wine is lifting with complexity, spicy notes, citrus focus and elegant subtle oak notes bringing light vanilla 👏😗
Wines produced from the land and Palace estate of Portugal’s last King.
The whole process of making the wine from the beginning to the finished product is just as it was from the first vintage. The grapes are from private vineyards planted close to the hotel, and complete the final touches to what lies on your table are hand-blown bottles with an old-fashioned wax seal.

Syrah, Grenache, Cabernet Sauvignon, Mourvèdre, Counoise, Cinsault and a white variety Le Rolle. Biodynamic since 1989 and made in a cathedral cave of stone cut from the cliff side. Simply marvelous... — 11 years ago
Beautiful wine! Lovely notes of tobacco and cherry. Very nice finish! — 9 years ago
2012. Great nose. Pepper. Cherry. Solid. — 9 years ago
Complex, interesting, rich and elegant. Can't get much better than this in my modest opinion. One could get lost in the beautiful color with a prominent violet rim. The nose: caramelized dark berries, oak, tobacco, geranium, calla flowers, herbs, wet limestone... The taste : really complex but masterfully structured with a long opulent aftertaste. Caramelized dry blueberries, blackcurrants, leather, smoky, oaky, herbal, floral ... Earth, wind and fire singing in a funambulist's line inside a cathedral ... Overwhelming, unique.Risky but elegant. Decadent but futurist ... It left me puzzled and astounded. A truly amazing creation or experiment ??? That wouldn't let you indifferent. — 9 years ago

Purchased from the winery in the Columbia Valley with mom, dad, and cooper in October 2014. Enjoyed On New Year's Day 2015, all together. Light color, medium body. Fruit, earthy nose. Smooth, fruit forward zin with strong minerality and pepper. — 10 years ago
little oxidized but still amazing. It's like a huge chamber of a cathedral, grandeur structure and a bit rare sense of blood. In a good, delicate and wild way. — 11 years ago

2009 #txwine #tempranillo dark fruit on a bed of earth and spice. Still good & I helped pick the grapes. Chris Lawler knew what he was doing. — 10 years ago
Have been enjoying the 2012 vintage now for a few months. Honestly, one of my favorite pinots I've had to date. Beautiful soft wine,: dark cherry, baking spice, wonderful finish. I could easily have a glass... Or two... on its own. This is an easy going wine with lots of dark fruit and a wonderful nose. — 10 years ago
Here's where my tasting notes start to get weird... "twangy" "spice vs fruit" "crayons" and "fruity hookah smoke" are the legible items — 11 years ago

Lovely Chard from the Columbia Valley, Oregon. The neutral oak is what makes this a beauty, along with nice apple & pear fruits and the acidity I feel is necessary in making a gods Chardonnay great. — 11 years ago

Very smooth. Lots of fruit on the nose and palate considering the age. Magnum bottle. Be gentle with the cork. It doesn't like peer pressure and crumbles at the mercy of the corkscrew. — 8 years ago
