2015 vintage. Single vineyard 100 % Sangiovese from south facing hill full of schist stones. Hand picked and sorted. 14 months in French oak tonneaux then 4 months in concrete vats then 6 months in bottle.
Impressive nose of cherry kirsch, new leather and savoury baker’s spice.
Taste wise, layers of ripe strawberry and cherry with a touch of earthiness and stones. Brilliant mouth watering acidity with freshness. I could drink this every week.
We made our own dough and had duck, local B.C. Matsutake mushrooms and grilled onion pizza with this wine. — 5 years ago
Drinking well now, this has pretty good structure and acids for an ‘18. Dark macerated cherry, spice, and low-toned earthy minerals on the nose. Vigorous in the mouth, with acids, alcohol, and tannin jockeying with each other for primacy. Clingy dark cherry and savory minerals on the palate. This will easily keep and improve over the next 5 years. — 9 months ago

Drinking the 2007 in 2024. Light bouquet with hints of oak and earth. Deep dark fruit with medium tannins but a smooth finish. Love the oak and leather notes! Deep dark color and flavors. — a year ago
Color of saturated purple, with a bit ruby note, a bit cloudy, nice legs. Nose of dark fruits, blackberries and black cherry, vanilla, oak, aldehyde, and ripe grapes. Taste follows the nose with addition of tea flavor, black pepper, strawberry, lighter than I thought yet good flavors, mellow tannins, and a bit zesty bitterness. Aftertaste shows some more oak and leather. Clean with medium long finish. A bit overpowering bitterness. Peak time. Enjoy her now. — 2 years ago
A delicious light summery berry red wine. A very gentle aftertaste. Definitely a mood. Let it breathe for a while — 4 years ago

Delicious, get your nose into it! Opens up grande style, dirt, dry roots, eucalyptus, clay dust, cranberries. Smooth light tannins that sits heavy on the tongue and releases the flavor. Highly recommend, I would love to decant this next time! — 8 years ago

Opens up with bright fruit - cranberries, apples, but then takes off into smoky tones underlying licorice, chocolate and carob. An initial acidity also blends into smooth tannins and a long finish. — 8 months ago
