Orange wine done finely and with great precision. For those hedonists who like overt pleasure. Though complexity and character is there in depth this seemed like a rich pie with a deeply buttery crust the entire time. — 5 years ago
50% CS, 40% CF, 10% Merlot. This is certainly aiming for the highest pedigree of Bdx-blends, and getting there as well. Crushed white stones, serious minerality, wild fruits, plenty of spice elements and underlying acidity enabling flavours to retain freshness and length. Beautifully integrated all new oak here as well. It tastes... amazing, and it’s structure promises a very long and slow cellar evolution. Best from 2025-2040. This will rival ANY high end stuff available. — 6 years ago
Till lax och sik. Mycket god. — 7 years ago
What a wine! It got richer with time in bottle. Just ripe lemons, intriguing basil and rosemary notes. Acid shows really tense, with a beautiful saline texture. Long. — 8 years ago

This wine is such a pleasant surprise still so young but very well balanced with a long life ahead. Only Manferrari can make a wine like this in Friuli. — 7 years ago
Dark Rosè- pairs well with lemon ricotta pasta and That Thing You Do nostalgia. 🕶 — 4 years ago
Awesome wine. As usual, If you think you don’t like a category or variety, just go spend $80/bottle then come back and talk to me. This wine shows what Friulano can be. Polished, mildly enriched by oak barrels, very complex fruit, minerals and Unami and super stylish texture...Like the first time you saw a car designed by Karmen Ghia — 5 years ago

Really fun. No pretension just an easy wine to drink. — 6 years ago
Rich and creamy. Briny salinity, wild herbs, barnyard funk, clay, and yet with undertones of ripe tropical fruits. Moderate plus acidity and body. A unique Friuli Sauvignon Blanc. — 7 years ago
Barnyard funk nose. Dark cherry, vanilla, spice and minerals on the palate. Moderate tannins and acid in the finish. — 8 years ago

The 2019 Schioppettino is remarkably pretty and floral, with violets and roses complementing its wild red berries and hints of smoke. This is soft-textured and lifted in feel, yet also packed full of fleshy raspberry fruit, as exotic spices build within. It leaves a tinge of sour citrus while finishing lightly structured and with a staining like liquid lavender. Lovers of Schioppettino will fall head over heels for the 2019.
