Aloha Champagne Fridays (this is the inaugural occasion). This is superb for around $20. The label lets your know this is dry all the way. 100% Chardonnay. Yellow apples and light caramel notes. Friends who take my reviews seriously (should proceed with caution) might prefer the Grüner Brut (Szigeti from Austria) from a little while back at this price point. But this is darn good. — 7 years ago

Very nice and balanced right bank. Bright acidity comparatively and bold with plenty of flavors to enjoy. Pairs well with chocolate tart with a raspberry sauce. — 10 years ago
This is the kind of Pinot I love. Fruit in the nose, dirt and tannins in the taste. I’m a big fan of this one. The comments are ridiculous. — 5 years ago
A gorgeous burnt yellow color. Had this with seared scallops and a cold veggie pasta salad. — 6 years ago
2010 Vintage. 12.5% Alcohol. Good acidity and flinty minerality. Best at cellar temp or slightly warmer. Good to go, don’t think this is going to improve much with further cellaring. — 6 years ago
Peppery, herbal, big. Reminds of a good non Rhône Syrah. Exiting wine. Should improve over the years. — 7 years ago

Not the highest. Light, smooth, very little tropical (grapefruit). Summer sipper. Go with most anything. — 11 years ago
Oak butter, olive, green apple smell, taste has a really tart acidic bite, meatiness that creates a complex full linger of the described flavors — 5 years ago

When Clos du Bois was founded in 1974, Sonoma County was better known for its prunes, walnuts and dairy farms than for its wine grapes. Dark ruby with aromas of black fruit with spicy herb notes. On the palate black cherry and blackberry flavors with toasty oak, cacao and some sweet spice. This full body wine had soft tannins and finished with earthy toasty oak. Good value! — 7 years ago
Interesting combination of animal aromas, figs, and sweet spices. Want to try again with a nice dinner. — 9 years ago
