Yellow gold color on the core.fresh yellow apple, minerality(not striking minerality but it blended well with fruity aroma), hint of almond, lemon on the nose. Med body, high acid, med intensity, well balanced fruit sugar,acidity and minerality comes together. Ripen yellow apple, yellow peach flavor with long finish of minerality. Drunk with mozzarella di bufala, margherita cooked in vesuvio thing. Food, glass, versatile wine. Complex and delicious. 14%(!) abv — 10 years ago

A nice wine with rustic tannins and lots of sweet black fruit. Nice acidity to balance all that fruit still shining through on this 2008 bottle brought over from Italy. Really chewy and very long finish. — 13 years ago

2012, white. This is a fabulous white, FULL of character! So rich on the palate with Bavarian cream and toasted almond on the nose, creamy peach skin and a nice rounded acidity on the finish.
