Usually we are not fans of white, but this one is just lovely! A slight sweet after taste. Nice with fish and pasta — 10 years ago
A treat added to the lineup. 26 year old Trousseau, bitches. And it's youthful. Shows the awesomeness of this varietal. Time to get a Trousseau tattoo. #TrousseauFest2015 — 10 years ago

Amazing Champagne, layers and layers of complexity. A very special wine — 10 years ago
Next up is Volnay. Village-level from Giroud. This bottle makes me amazed at how the color of wine from the same grape can vary so much between nearby villages. This wine is bright red (like diluted oxygenized blood) and although the nose is full of typical PN notes of warm strawberries and raspberries, some forest and stable aromas, and new oak - it has de/light/ful freshness and flowery perfumed scent and aftertaste. Tannins are silky and small and acid level skyhigh and fresh. Perhaps a little too much oak for my taste but a very nice experience. The wine complemented quite well the assortment of italian sausages and kaltbach cheese. Freddy Kempf -- on a long Steinway sounding off Busoni's arrangement of Bach's Chaconne -- tied the knot of a perfect cellar moment. Cheers! — 10 years ago
As expected, not as much fruit as the 2010 but still silky and balanced with a long, complex finish. — 11 years ago
Proves the old adage that in an off vintage, go for the Vintner. Terrific and now is the window ! — 12 years ago

Wow, so much character and personality in this single vineyard. If I recall correctly there is some oak aging on this. So much depth and flavor: mineral of course but some handsome age quality and balance of sweetness and acidity. Very special. — 7 years ago
One of my Fav’s! Look for these 2 words on a Champagne Label-Récoltant Manipulant, Grower makes & markets Champagne under their own label, from grapes exclusively sourced from their own vineyards and processed on premises. Fruit/floral bouquet, w/chalky minerals. Fine bubbles, nice mousse, showing quality. Outstanding rich flavors of peach, lemon and honey, well balanced, good structure, creamy. Finish with toasty oak & mineral notes that lingered. Very consistent quality. — 8 years ago
If you like Pinot this is good. Nice fruit and a little sweetness on the nose, good backbone of acidity and persistent finish — 9 years ago
