This was a surprise. A super second but could easily be a first growth this wine was under rated by critics. Silky almost sweet tannins dominant this wine packet with classic flavors and unreal depth. For a 23 year old wine this was a baby. — 9 years ago

Another stunning effort was the '11 Cambria Pinot Noir 'Clone 23'. It's was amazing to detect the subtle variations the different clones made on the aromatic and flavor profiles. Jasmine, pineapple on the nose. Smooth and light on the palate with clean aftertaste. Although this is not a genshu, it's 17% abv which suggests it does not get watered down as much as most sake at this price. Sometimes overlooked because of its bigger brothers the 23 and 39, it's an excellent sake on its own and amazing at its price. — 8 years ago

We had this on 7/20-21/16. This nice blend of Malbec, Cab Sauv and Petit Verdot had nice tastes of graphite, blackberry and current. A nice smooth finish with a little spice for this full bodied wine. — 9 years ago

Nose is heavy wet nail polish, vanilla bean, and wet grass. Incredibly complex and long lasting on the palate. Nail polish and cinnamon up front, then a wave a spicy burn, then grass, vanilla , menthol, new brown leather jacket. Best bourbon ever, better than the 23 yr by a wide margin. — 9 years ago
