Different from all Pinot noirs I've had so far. Very subdued acidity. Gentle and complex tongue. Slightly heavier than medium body. Extremely well balanced. Long finish. Awesome wine. Probably my favorite red so far. Looking to try more wines from this winery. — 13 years ago

On the nose: Strong anise, slight leather, hot; however, it's mis-leading as the alcohol disappears on the palate and gives way to a stunningly silky texture. Light bodied with a slight hint of vanilla, back licorice and fresh leather dominating throughout the finish. The Calera clone has a wanton mouthfeel and a celestial body making her a devilish temptress. — 11 years ago
