Caleb continues to find some really interesting wines. — 8 years ago
herbal, earthy Pinot. light bodied and drinkable, strong notes of dried dark fruit, fresh pepper and brettanomyces. great value. @Caleb Pietrafesa you would like this... same people as Elk Cove — 8 years ago
By the glass. Like you do. Caleb was right, this is just one of those wines. The finish doesn't stop. — 9 years ago
Big thanks to @Caleb Schiff — 9 years ago
Highly structured but Delicious effort. Lots of structure, but with time on the glass or decanter, this is a very good wine. Give it some time and enjoy at your leisure. Tasty, but stout. — 9 years ago
I had a hate-hate relationship with Grenache for a long time (alcohol, lack of acid, lots of high-extraction style winemaking), but this is one of the wines that turned me around on the variety when @Caleb Ganzer served me a bottle a few years ago. Red fruited, meaty, peppery, with plenty of red flower perfume. This is clean, low-intervention winemaking, with only a little appealing pinch of VA. There's a slightly chubby texture, but trim acid keeps the wine moving forward. Somehow this wine would appeal to the Burgundy drinker, as well as the California Pinot drinker, and you know, people who like Grenache. A screaming deal at $25-ish. — 10 years ago
incredible wine. bursting with tart flavor and slightly funky. it has a nice medium body, very pleasant aftertaste. notes of cherry, rhubarb, and kiwi. — 6 years ago
Travel & Leisure just named baltimore the coolest city in America. I'd like to think my presence had something to do with that title. :) as for the wine- doesn't everything taste like heaven on a rooftop deck within smelling distance of the bread factory? — 8 years ago
Got this when it was on sale. Medium bodied, semi-dry, fruity taste. Very good for a leisure afternoon drink.

Earthy. Fruity. Complex. Layered. @Caleb Edmondson Check this out. — 6 years ago
I wish Caleb was here with me to drink this 💚🙌🏻 — 6 years ago
Amazing strawberry-brick-earth notes on the nose. The finish is exactly what you'd expect for gamay- not too exciting or bold but perfect for enjoying with cheese. I owe Caleb for sharing this one with me! A favorite. Sharing with my coworkers. — 7 years ago
Holy smokes! Really need to get myself a bottle. B&S summed up the wine perfectly:
This is near immaculate. Match a consistently revered wine with a once-in-a-lifetime vintage and what you get is a rare and illusive gem.
Perfectly warm days and cool, steady nights allowed for ideal growing conditions in Clonakilla’s famed vineyards. With the ability to pick fruit at their own leisure, Tim Kirk and his team gained full fruit ripeness, balanced phenolic complexity and even increased the whole bunches to 30% for each ferment. The sensorial odyssey begins with perfumed florals and aromas of spice, charcuterie and wild herbs; before bright red and blue berries emerge on the palate. There’s a line of savoury richness which seamlessly interplays with the wine’s elegant tannin structure, however, what truly marks the experience is the complexity that each mouthful delivers. An immediate classic. — 8 years ago
Andrea Caleb produces some excellent natural wines in southern France. This Grenache is one of them we really enjoy. $22-$23 at Natural Wine Co in Brooklyn. — 9 years ago
Was looking for something that would be pleasing to everyone. Soft tannins made this very smooth for leisure drinking.
Slightly sweet. Ripened dark fruit, complex on the nose. Delicious! — 9 years ago
