2001 vintage (great Napa cab year). Good, upper-shoulder fill. Dryish cork. Decanted with plenty of sed. Lots of color. Tasted immediately. Smoky plummy nose. Still medium-heavy body. Showing well with plenty of front-palate richness evident in the gums. Overt "oakiness" gone with only complimentary, flattering oak framing the composition at this point. A hint of tannins on the finish but you've got to know where to look. Summer-school hedonism. Slightly better than expected. 11.30.23. — 7 months ago
This is the best cab I’ve had so far...not that I’ve had many. 😀 It’s fruity, a little tart, tannins, tasted better a day after. I’d still turn it into a spiced wine...maybe I don’t like wine after all. Hmmm... Bought it at a grocery store in the clearance bin for $15.99. — 7 years ago
Pleasant, balanced tanins are light. Soft for a cab. But enjoyable. — 8 years ago
Great cab. Not too heavy but great layers of flavor. Don't decant! This guy is ready to go right out of the bottle. — 9 years ago

Most complex Cab I’ve had from California. Wonderfully easy to drink, with a beautiful mix of fruit and spice. Recommend. — 5 months ago

On Wednesday nights “The Local” in Minneapolis north loop sells full bottles at cost. Great value. This 2015 was a great less full bodied Cab with nice hint of cherry. — 5 years ago
Great, consistent CA cab. — 7 years ago
Very good! Nothing sharp — 7 years ago
Very smooth wine. Great price but not as good as the Kirkland Columbia Valley cab/Merlot blend. — 8 years ago

Rim to rim color density. Red and black cherries poke through cedar and sweet tobacco on the nose with dark chocolate chunks, plum, prune and date, toasted sesame, cinnamon, rose petal, and cardamom. Chewy tannins that roll satin-smooth initially, then cassis, black currant and licorice flip the script. Graphite and blackberry frame dark chocolate and mocha-tobacco, oak and black bread.
