The mid red fruits are candied on the nose with fresh violets and roses. It's glorious, ruby, candied & creamed raspberries, dark & light cherries, strawberries, just a hint of blackberries, plum, fresh perfumed violets & pink/red roses, milk & dark chocolate, cinnamon stick, vanilla, slight herbaceous quality and mid intensity volcanic minerals. She is a lush elegant beauty. Finishes fruit juicy transitioning to dry mid tannins. M+ to H acidity. I coravined a glass not sure if it would be ready but it is and will still improve over the next 5+ years. Interesting...this CA Rhone has a little Burgundian DNA. — 9 years ago
What a difference a year makes. The 2013 incarnation of Melville's Block M is still an excellent wine, but pales in comparison to the 2012. Still has all of the same basic characteristics you expect from Melville - great strawberry, a bit more acidity than what you find for most CA pinots yet perfectly in balance - but the 2013 lacks the depth of the 2012. Probably due in part to the extra year in bottle for the 2012, but only in part: the 2012 is a superior wine. Still, this is a terrific offering from Melville that will likely improve with an additional year or two in bottle. — 9 years ago

Muratie Ansela Van De Caab. Tanniner o syra i perfekt balans. Detta blir inte bättre. Det är nästan sorgligt, när jag förstår att vi inte ses igen. Du har varit så jäkla bra, aldrig svikit. Nu letar vi efter yngre förmågor. — 12 years ago

An old world French wine that is more like the new world CA wine. Smooth medium bodied red that evokes cherry in nose and taste. A gentle fruit forward wine that is equally at home sipping or paired with food. Pretty damn good and the price is right. — 9 years ago
Classic CA Cab, but from a leaner year, so more streamlined w good acidity and a touch of herb. — 10 years ago
Perfect 10‼️ Never had a wine like this before until October 10th, 2015 @springhouseal 😘 Muy delisioso!!!!💥🍷🍷🍷🍷 You want this one to open up but spin around your glass for a while and it will, especially after sitting out in a decanter will help it breathe! The tannins will go on and on...the fun doesn't stop here! 😉🍷🍷 Yeah, I've finally had some Sine Qua Non 2012 California Syrah. Ventura, CA 15.3% Label art by M. Raw meat, slight rubber, blackberry jam, pencil shavings, slight barnyard (N) Black fig, ripe cherries, raspberry, black licorice, cocoa powder, allspice. (P). BOMBA! Med silky tannins, m+ acid, long finish. Like a cross btw Burgundy and CA Pinot! — 9 years ago
Very CA like. Ripe, fresh and more new oak than the others. Juicy blackberries, dark raspberries, black plum, blueberries, softer dark minerality, leather. — 10 years ago
Dark fruit, chocolate, leather. M tannin, M- acid. Beautiful elegant wine. — 10 years ago

2011 - A new entry based in Tregnago, Eastern #Valpolicella. Old vines, good altitude (400 m. ) and a good balance of fruit and soft tannins. To watch! — 11 years ago
