Really nice. So much character and complex flavours. — 7 years ago
Stunning cab franc that pleases this major (cab)francophile. All my favorite tobacco flavors with some touches of blueberry and earth with a gentle feel to boot. — 7 years ago
Micro-Vigneron with several hectares of Chenin, Grolleau, Cabernet Franc & Cabernet Sauvignon outside Beaulieu-sur-Layon. As natural as winemaking gets... — 9 years ago

Has a harder edge than some of the other petite arvines I have been trying. More minerality, and more oak. But no prominent vanilla and less rounded mouthfeel but still dense. I like it, seems more serious. — 5 years ago
Though not the same as it was pre-COVID -19, a handful of us were able to gather (while keeping our distance) to celebrate being back together and opened some fun wines to share. Wine is always better with good company.
One of two champagnes for the evening (the other being a Cédric Bouchard Val Villane, which I posted about a few weeks ago). A producer I’m semi familiar with. Rich and dense aromatics in that oxidative style, but it’s more fruit driven than I expected. Some yeast, good bit of chalk and limestone. Bruised pear, caramel dipped golden delicious apple and apple strudel too. Acidity was mellow and it toed the line of champagne and still wine. A champagne I’d like to try again. Funky! Obviously cab franc with pepper and dried fruits. Not as good as I remember the first bottle. — 7 years ago
Red fruit, mixed with wet stone and tiny hint of leather. Crisp and focus however lack of finish at the end. — 8 years ago
Swiss wine does exist. Beautifully crafted late harvest fendant. They harvest in December after the grappes have been frozen at least three Times. — 12 years ago
Strawberries. Bit of an overwhelming acid note on opening but that seemed to go away after the first pour. Very easy drinking. — 5 years ago

Third rating for this: started at 10 degrees , and warmed up to around 15-18 in a warm 29 degrees tropical Singapore. Was fresh, crisp, lemon-like at first, followed by zesty mandarin orange flavours that finally matured to mellow honey apricots. Best of all coloured like the upcoming Chinese New Year - perfect gold. — 5 years ago
