Heavy bottle. Wine gets much better after breathing a while. Nice texture and flavor at the end. $42 bottle is too much. — 6 years ago

Enjoyed with spicy broccoli shrimp and spaghetti. Pinot Grigio was tangy with peach apricot and pears. With dinner subtle and smooth finish. 2014 perfect! — 7 years ago

Smells like a Napa can. Tastes lighter, high acid, tart. — 7 years ago
Simple and concentrated with an abundance of fruit. It is what it is and what it is is revealed on the first taste. — 8 years ago

The wine is good, but the talking point is just how heavy the bottle is ! — 7 months ago
A strong, deep red. Not fruity at all — 3 years ago
Medium red color with brownish accents. Sampled over a 2+ hour decant. Massive nose of chocolate that evolves to amaretto and you can smell the 16.5 OH. Syrupy and very port like. Medium minus finish which is surprising. Always nice to try something new as this might be my first Amarone experience. Thanks MG!! — 5 years ago
Lots of body, dark fruits, cherries, plum, nuts, and chocolate — 8 years ago

After 15 years in the bottle, I thought it was time and was I ever right! Perfectly aged! The tannins have been tamed but still give this classic Amarone the wonderful fruit flavors with no bitterness whatsoever and absolutely delicious to drink on its own. Full bodied, great nose and mouth feel while the taste just lingers and lingers within the whole mouth! This would be awesome with beef, pork, or any indigenous foods from Verona. — 6 months ago
