Coop and I splurged on this ($25) at Jeff’s shop after a long discussion about Rhône wines and wanting to learn more. We thoroughly enjoyed it with an antipasto-style dinner. Nose: pine shavings, raspberry jam, dried cherries, tar, earth. Taste: multilayered, medium to full, cherry, leather, tobacco, charcoal. Delish and we drank it while watching Somm: into the bottle — 7 years ago

Fig for days. I'm sure there's Syrah in here, but all I can taste is Grenache. — 8 years ago

purchased using air miles, approx gbp 35 from virgin wines. Needs to breathe but excellent full body wine. sweetness at tip of the tongue and clean at the back and goes down like silk. flavour is a hint of saltanas. — 8 years ago
This is actually the "Secret" limited release, not the Domaine. Took awhile to open but did very well. Aged in barrels 18 months, whereas Domaine is 12 and Optimum was 24. — 9 years ago
Honeysuckle and spice, very ripe and quite rich, a serious white wine with a difference. €19.66 Aldi bargain. — 5 years ago

I like this. Bold nose, some green character. Really approachable, big body, substantial length and a clean acidic finish. I’m surprised by the other Delectable raters negging on this so much. Maybe it’s the age? This has some years. Bought for a deal at Drinxx in The Hague. — 7 years ago
Fig, garrigue and tobacco. — 8 years ago
Explosion of black pepper with some floral notes coming in at the end. Very nice, bold wine. — 9 years ago

A really nice cote rotie. Well balanced nose between fruit and soil/bark. Balance continues on the palate. Classy wine, worth the $60. Bottle #1 from Aunnie in Lyon. — 3 years ago
