Delicious brunch beverage! — 9 years ago
Very smooth red blend. Lightly peppery with a cherry tone. Can be easily drank without food. Despite. 14.5% alcohol level, it is hardly noticeable. A very fun beverage for Halloween and watching True Blood or the Walking Dead. — 10 years ago
This doesn't even taste of wine. It's, like, a whole other beverage. Sour, acidic, rich. Surprisingly little nuttiness. But what an experience. — 10 years ago

This Pinot Noir (the t in Pinot is silent) is delectable. A true shining star. The aromatic treat starts with strong notes of red, and screams 'drink the entire bottle buddy'. Succumbing to the temptation you will discover a blissful elegance as this masterpiece flows through your body. Invigorating your inner youth, enchanting your inner sommelier, and appeasing your inner drunkard with the 16.0% alcohol by volume. This reasonably priced bottle of happiness would truly be a delight on any occasion. Additionally the surgeon general declares consumption of such a magnificent beverage could be detrimental to the growth of a child, pregnant women be warned. — 9 years ago

2012 vintage. all the good things I like. perfect beverage. — 10 years ago
From 2/2/11. Very interesting beverage. Tartness of raspberries and sparkling composition work well in this un beerlike beer. — 11 years ago
Apothic Inferno 2014 appears as a dark ruby vision in the glass and waves at the beholder with a nose born in whiskey and campfire smoke. The palate is also soaked in that boozy barrel, with the flavor of liquor coming through without the heat. The plum and raspberry notes have to fight for notice, and they barely get a signal through, although it does come, with an added hint of rosemary. Tannins are quite firm and will serve a ribeye steak quite well, especially one that’s fresh off the grill.
As a wine, I'd have to say the wood has far too much influence, but that is by design. As a beverage, it's a wild delight, bringing together the best aspects of table wine, port and liquor. — 9 years ago
Robert Michel he is something of an institution when it comes to Cornas and its wines. Actually 2006 it's been his last vintage before retirement, even though he has continued to help and give advice to the young and gifted winemaker Guillaume Gilles. Cuvée des Coteaux here it comes from two parcels: Les Chaillots and Le Quartier de Renard. Michel used to make severe, uncompromised, traditionally austere and long-lived wines. Manual harvest, gentle fermentation with the entire stems, wine ageing in larger sized demi-muid cask. A pity that such a majestic vigneron doesn't make such one-shot wines any more. Though, what a patriarchal wine here we've got: power and delicacy at the same time in this 2006; purity, unsophisticated class is all I love in those kind of wines. Well, what else? Dionysus bless Michel and his solemn beverage in time and in eternity. — 9 years ago
This is wine to pour for those last remaining Francophile snobs who think they will never enjoy a bottle from --GASP --outside of France or surrounding vineyards. I know, there are thankfully not so many of these people left, but the point is, this tastes like a classic, pre-oakification, totally quaffable " let's have this with some rich, wintery food" sort of beverage. If you don't like this, we will have to find something else to talk about.
