Les Combettes is one of the most northerly of Puligny-Montrachet's vineyards, located beside the commune boundary with Meursault. Because it is on the lower slopes of the Cote d'Or, the vineyard has a higher clay in its soils and its wines are correspondingly richer and lower in acidity. This makes them less like other Puligny-Montrachet wines and more like those of the Meursault. — 12 years ago

Nice hoppy ale, but not pretentiously so. Great casual one-drinker alone without food. — 10 years ago
More refined than its younger, regional blend 2013 #Marlborough #SauvignonBlanc sibling. Fab complexity & resounding vibrancy! — 11 years ago
