Original PIRA before chiara boschi last Barolo that was step on foot — 11 years ago
Comment: Beautifully balanced nose that makes your skin crawl. This Barolo has deep baking spice notes balanced with herbs humid hay and a warm peppery balsamic finish. Pepper hits the palate first followed by dried herbs (organo, thyme) and a slight cherry/strawberry finish. Silky smooth tannins that give this a beautiful mouthfeel! Yum! — 9 years ago
Not as much tobacco as the previous Barbera we had 2 weeks ago. Low tannin and high acid as normal. Stainless steel and old Slovakian oak. Very Good. 2013 vintage. — 10 years ago
Sinfully sweet as the name suggests, blood red in color, light on the palate. Most excellent. — 11 years ago

public service announcement, gushing review ahead > 2012 vintage, this is stupidly good for its humble appellation. Still vibrant when so many of its contemporaries are looking tired, this has such wonderful liveliness and zip, allied with some secondary complexity and satisfying length, I had to go " WOW". Just bloody delicious. And Bravo to the producer and also the importer @eurocentric Benchmark wine — 9 years ago
