On the nose, striking bouquet of Bosc pear, meringue and benzine. Light notes of pear on the palate but otherwise a little ho-hum. Rich finish...likely due to the aging in the Sauternes barrels. Fun Bordeaux Blanc. — 8 years ago
Beautiful champagne...especially for the money. Cream soda, minerals and yellow florals on the nose. The palate is; lightly bruised green apple & Bosc pear, citrus, pineapple, cream soda, butterscotch, quince, baguette, fine bubbles, delicate fine chalkiness & mineralogy, enjoyable acidity & long, rich finish. Certainly, one of the better champagnes and value in Champagne. Happy Valentines Day all! ❤🍾 — 8 years ago
Roig robí amb intens aroma de fruita vermella , rodó i gustós amb final de bosc i mores. Antoner. Arroç de tords i estofat de cabirol. Magnum. 2010. — 9 years ago
Little bit of weight on the palate, lots of minerality, Bosc pear and wild flowers! — 10 years ago
The 2010 cuvée Cathleen is also showing almost no color advancement whatsoever. It is pale yellow with green tents. Aromatically it's restrained with with some faint peaches and nectarines aromas some faint Bosc pear.. But still quite closed in. The wind is amazingly we strained. It is tightly wound but but has incredible depth at the same time. It has good acid structure and deeper richness but still needs years open up. This is an amazing wine. — 11 years ago
Well done Abe. Great acid w seamless texture. — 11 years ago
Bokisch Albarino Terra Alta Vineyard Clements Hills-Lodi 12.5% ABV grown in volcanic clay loam soils. Fuji apple, bosc pear & grapefruit aromas zippy acidity. 700 cases great summer sipper $18 — 12 years ago
Enigmatic and just tremendous aromas. Ripe pear, lavender, mountain herbs, Bosc pear, apple skin, lovely nose. Mountain stream. So fresh, dynamic and pure. Palate is rich, ripe, opulent and concentrated with a whiplash of juicy fruit, herbs and insane acidity. Long, balanced and so pure. Shows ripeness of vintage with classic Altesse acidity, herbaciousness and freshness. — 5 years ago
Rich, complex, leesy, brioche, yellow apple, spices, bosc pear. — 6 years ago
Big aromatic nose of grass and grapefruit. Mellows on the palate, but still lean with Bosc pears. Great cali example of an old world style. — 7 years ago

The 2009 Vinehill Chardonnay has almost no color advancement. It is a deep yellow color with just hints of gold in the color. The aromas are more of a green pears Bosc pears with hints of chalky minerality. this is a really fresh wine not showing as much age as the first three. This wine has a good richness with a strong core of acidity. It does not have quite as much fatness is as the 08 was showing. But it also has a little less structure on the back but a strong character of really ripe grapefruit lemon citrus in the mid-palate to the back palate. This is a really complex interesting wine not showing the spiciness of the aged versions however. — 11 years ago

Apricot, Bosc pear, chamomile, mango, spice // less complex and full-bodied than the usual Friulian suspects (but also a fraction of the price) // another impressive indication of what LI wines can do, and where they might be going. . . 🚨 — 6 years ago
Went on a wine tour here and this was one of the wines we got to sample. Very tasty and light. Yeah Canada!!! — 7 years ago
Cabernet sauvignon de gran aroma i cos amb llarg final de bosc i tocs de mores madures. Pièce de boeuf al Belvedère. — 8 years ago
It's a lightly oxidative style which I appreciate. Golden apples, Bosc pears, citrus blend, pineapple flesh, touch of quince, ginger ale in the mid palate, cream soda, soft silty chalkiness, very soft & smooth mineralogy, nice acid & beautiful crisp finish. — 9 years ago
Incredible Chenin from South Africa. 55 year old vines, low yield loveliness. Bosc pear, honeysuckle, lime on the nose. White peach and the Bosc pear thing continues. Medium body, clear and vibrant acid. Streamlined and serious. Tasted with the winemaker! — 10 years ago
Fermentation and aging in concrete is gaining traction in the US, when I studied enology in college, concrete tanks weren't discussed as a method, which is too bad, because of the substantial impacts to texture and purity of fruit. Keplinger's use of concrete in this Rhône white blend is one
such success. Ripe Bosc pear, white peach and honeysuckle on the nose. Full and lush in the mouth with a silky, creamy texture. Acidity lends balance and length. Papaya, lime zest and lanolin notes on the finish. — 11 years ago
Lavender, fuscia, sorrel, excellent legs, buttery, lemongrass, celeriac, Bosc pear, almond water — 12 years ago

Pretty sure I haven’t had a better bottle of Champange at $24.99 and even some higher.
The nose reveals; bruised green apple & Bosc pear, lemon meringue, overripe & slightly sour pineapple, lime zest, nougat, vanillin, soft honeycomb, oysters, sea spray, baguette crust, grey volcanic, pleasant chalkiness, whiffs of herbaceousiness, spring flowers, mixed greens and yellow lilies.
The entry is clean, fresh, rich and lively. Bruised green apple & Bosc pear, lemon meringue, golden apple, overripe & slightly sour pineapple, lime zest, nougat, vanillin, caramel, soft honeycomb, sea fossils & spray, baguette crust, nice white spice with some palate heat, grey volcanic, pleasant chalkiness, whiffs of herbaceousiness, spring flowers, mixed greens and yellow lilies. Crisp lively acidity. The finish is refreshingly delicious, well balanced, good, seamless, delineation, nice polish and persists with spice for several minutes on the long set.
