Very nice Malbec. Really enjoyable with good fruit and a pleasant finish. I agree with Ryan that it is better the second day. — 6 years ago

Quite similar to Bogle but a bit thinner. Screw top. Great cheaper Bogle option! — 6 years ago
This is a great cab, worth the moderate price tag. Comparable to bogle phantom, which is the bar for wine around the $20 mark. — 7 years ago
We put this little charmer head to head on the blind against some Bogle and no one was confused. For the price it's not 4x better than Bogle but it's compact and certainly confident enough. Decent alone, the light grape notes probably swoon well for medium spice and pork chop/currant/sage. — 8 years ago
2012 vintage - cocoa, ripe berries, anise, and well integrated oak. — 9 years ago
This wine reminds me of Bogle - Cabernet Sav. Except a lot less tannins (bitterness). The price seems about right, would definitely get again. Paired with Baque cheese platter. Yum! — 10 years ago
I love it. Price is cheaper at my local Sam's Club. (That's why I purchased one bottle. I have gone back for many more.) Great taste....Not too "heavy" as far as some Chardonnay wines can be (Bogle, etc) and not too light, fruity, and "whimpy" like a Pinot Grigio. — 10 years ago

Very comparable to Bogle Vineyard’s Phantom- a very nice red varietal in the $20 to $30 range. — 5 years ago
This is 2016 vintage and a gift opened May 30, 2019 for grilled chicken. The aroma is very mild with touch of vanilla to smooth it out. Taste smooth, dry and hint of apple with vanilla and minimal or no butter. Actually very pleasant and would recommend if you see it. I’ll try again. — 6 years ago
Dark fruit. Strong fruit finish W — 6 years ago
So even though my freestyle pumpkin carving did not go well I did get to enjoy this nice blend to ease the pain of the death of my artistic dreams, pumpkin category — 7 years ago
Along with McManis and Bogle, this is one of my favorite widely available Cab Sauvs under $15 here in NYC... — 8 years ago
Not as grapey as Bogle, but i really liked it. Not too dry — 9 years ago
Great flavors of melon, peach, apricot. Sweet, but hits a great balance of understated sweetness and acidity. Great sipping wine. — 9 years ago
An extremely polished and sophisticated Merlot, medium bodied with cherry and blackberry fruits and a touch of spice to the finish. — 10 years ago
Very smooth & velvety — 10 years ago
Dry yet light...makes my mouth happy — 12 years ago
Pretty big I’m sure the bottle has a placebo effect. Good value for the price though I want to blind taste it though with a cheap apothic dark or Bogle red blend. — 5 years ago
Crisp, short finish makes you want more — 6 years ago

Sorry for being AWOL. But I bring tidings of great joy. The 2014 is out! (So is Bogle Phantom. More later! I just kiss on the first date!) I love Le Fiacre du Pape. Hands down one of the best values -- and most under the radar -- wines on the market. Brought to me many vintages ago by Señor Haro, a formidable presence in the wine world. The 2014 has great fruit, with a nice meaty backdrop. Lots of bacon fat and mushroom. Awesome. Unlike past years a bit tannic. Needs to breathe! Always one to have on hand. — 8 years ago
Big nose, chocolate, smooth, solid! Reminds me of bogle phantom — 9 years ago
Loved the citrus flavor yet not too acidic!! Great buy. - 2013 vintage on October 8, 2015. — 10 years ago
