Ok here's the plan. Champagne with oysters Rockefeller. Chardonnay only but Demi sec so should work (brut is the most drinkers choice but I like a little sweetness with OR and my cousin will appreciate sweetness. Pinot noir with tenderloin roast. First time with this vineyard but Santa Barbara valley usually big and fruity. S and I both like big pilots. Sauternes with dessert. Have heard of this vineyard but another first time. Trust this for only Jay and Doc. MERRY CHRISTMAS. — 11 years ago
2012 Roar Pinot. Drank during lunch w K, A&S at Tra Vigne. Apparently this wine is usually massive, but we were told this vintage was much more reserved. It was fantastic. Really enjoyed this wine! — 11 years ago

One of my favorite Spanish wines. No question. This is the best year I've had, 2001, although I've had the 04's through 09's. Thanks to Wine-Searcher for helping find a good price in the U.S. — 11 years ago

One of my TOP TEN WINE EXPERIENCES OF 2014. Simply love this wine! Medium straw, light yellow color; dried apple and mineral in the nose, understated and persistent and eerily deductive; medium bodied; dry, medium acidity, well balanced; tart apple flavors, some slate; medium finish. An amazing dry chenin blanc made in a style unheard of in American winemaking circles. (Best Served: 2014-2017) (Tasted: August 25, 2014, San Francisco, CA) [Sourcing: Vineyard planted in the early 1980's on very sandy soils in the Foxen Canyon district] [Winemaking: Tank fermented, transferred to neutral wood for the winter, racked back to tank for a few months prior to bottlng] [Eric Railsback-Winemaker] #whitewine #cheninblanc #santaynezvalley #centralcoast — 11 years ago
This was a crazy volatile wine, had it several times. That said it made me a believer in Lambrusco. — 11 years ago
