Cherry nose with more cherry, strawberry, rhubarb pie and minerals on the palate. When I first opened the bottle the taste was muted on the back end and a little disappointing in the finish. The wine opened up nicely, though. For a Californian Pinot the finish is above average on the tannic side, but a little light on the acid. I recommend decanting this 2013. In all very solid. — 8 years ago
This Les Vignots is a very good, four square, blood making Pommard that is nothing like other 2013's I have had. It was dark, loaded with fruit, had good tannin and acid balance and a real synergy with our duck and fig sausages. We tried this with Spanish cheese as well, which turned it into a fruit bomb that wouldn't be out of place in Santa Lucia! — 8 years ago
Maybe a little too fruity, but there was also lots of complexity, a silky mouthfeel, and a medium length finish. — 9 years ago
Wedding wine. Clean, crisp, steel barrel chard. A wine for math majors. — 9 years ago
Smooth, light with a hint of floral. Definitely buying again! — 10 years ago

Fruity with a Pinot followup aftertaste — 11 years ago
One of my TOP TEN WINE EXPERIENCES OF 2014. Simply love this wine! Medium straw, light yellow color; dried apple and mineral in the nose, understated and persistent and eerily deductive; medium bodied; dry, medium acidity, well balanced; tart apple flavors, some slate; medium finish. An amazing dry chenin blanc made in a style unheard of in American winemaking circles. (Best Served: 2014-2017) (Tasted: August 25, 2014, San Francisco, CA) [Sourcing: Vineyard planted in the early 1980's on very sandy soils in the Foxen Canyon district] [Winemaking: Tank fermented, transferred to neutral wood for the winter, racked back to tank for a few months prior to bottlng] [Eric Railsback-Winemaker] #whitewine #cheninblanc #santaynezvalley #centralcoast — 11 years ago
Wow... What a fantastic, delicious wine. Pasta...yes, cheese and grapes.....yes! This should easily be rated in the mid 90's. this will be a staple for a long time. Los Olivos best kept secret! — 12 years ago
I did not expect much of this wine; purchased for the purpose of supporting a good cause after the Santa Rosa fires. I didn’t even decant it for the recommended hour (saw that too late), but the wine was full bodied and the nose was leathery. Was an amazing wine and can’t wait to see how these age. Definitely will try again when we smoke Tri Tip for dinner one night. — 8 years ago
Rich and lively, like a good 80’s song. Always happy with the wines from Presqu’ile. Cherries on cherries on cherries. I don’t know why, but this bottling always makes me think of November. — 8 years ago
Nice and fruity. Enjoyed with a grilled Cesar salad at home. — 8 years ago
Great nose. Fruity and bold with a long finish and well balanced acid. Great find! — 9 years ago
Wow yes a long week in wine Bizz! Now fun begins, trying 2 great Roar 2014's Pinot. Pisoni vs Rosella. The Pisoni 2014 is Awesome! Even a Big Wow in my book. Bright Cherries rich Berry flavors and good acidity it always tough doing Brother vs Sister from the same Family! My initial review gives this a CB 98! Available in tiny quantities. We are at Bedtime ( mine at least) 2 hours later! This great wine started to fade! Be Aware! Still same press! — 9 years ago
Rich & complex, but easy and smooth. Had a great time with these folks up in Santa Rosa. A must try. — 10 years ago
A light crisp drinkable sauvignon blanc from matanzas creek located in my hometown of Santa Rosa — 11 years ago
One of my favorite Spanish wines. No question. This is the best year I've had, 2001, although I've had the 04's through 09's. Thanks to Wine-Searcher for helping find a good price in the U.S. — 11 years ago
This was a crazy volatile wine, had it several times. That said it made me a believer in Lambrusco. — 11 years ago

Enjoyed a bottle at La Gare in Santa Rosa. — 8 years ago
Silky smooth lyrics come together with wind through the pine herbals. Big bowl of cherries aromatics and glowing ruby highlights in the glass. Integrated acidity and snapshots capture the action like a 90's skateboard magazine. Pairs well with road trips to the redwoods. — 8 years ago

In a rage farm house in central Uruguay. Really... — 10 years ago
Imposter! In the best way. Very cool wine and a steal in the $30's. — 11 years ago
Ok here's the plan. Champagne with oysters Rockefeller. Chardonnay only but Demi sec so should work (brut is the most drinkers choice but I like a little sweetness with OR and my cousin will appreciate sweetness. Pinot noir with tenderloin roast. First time with this vineyard but Santa Barbara valley usually big and fruity. S and I both like big pilots. Sauternes with dessert. Have heard of this vineyard but another first time. Trust this for only Jay and Doc. MERRY CHRISTMAS. — 11 years ago
2012 Roar Pinot. Drank during lunch w K, A&S at Tra Vigne. Apparently this wine is usually massive, but we were told this vintage was much more reserved. It was fantastic. Really enjoyed this wine! — 11 years ago
