Juan Gil Jiménez first built his winery in 1916 in Jumilla, and passed it down to his future generations. From 100% Certified Organic Monastrell (or Mourvèdre in France), in chalky, stony soils, aromas of dark berry fruits and woody spice. Aged 12 months in French oak, palate shows blackberry and plum with smoky wood flavors and notes of cacao and cinnamon spice. Soft ripe tannins, medium+ ending with a light toasty earthy character. Smoked eucalyptus and gamey.

Blackberry, dark plum, tha basil, eucalyptus. mint, anise, layer upon layers of gorgeous fruit, with herbs dancing with great pagan mystery, underneath those waves.

This is one of those wines that hits every bit of what you want a more expensive bottle to be.
Priced to buy by the case as a every nighter.
