Die Geschichte der Bodegas Lustau: 1896 als Don José Ruiz-Berdejo damit begann Weine auf seinem Gut „Nuestra Señora de la Esperanza“ anzubauen und diese später an die großen Handelshäuser der Region weiterzuverkaufen. Im Jahr 1940 verlegte Don Emilio Lustau Ortega, der Schwiegersohn von Don José Ruiz-Berdejo, die Bodega nach Jerez. In den Siebziger Jahren wurden dann die Anlagen auf Nuestra Señora de la Esperanza erneuert und vergrößert. In den 1980er Jahren entwickelte die Firma immer bessere Qualitäten. So entstand das Solera Reserva System mit Fässern aus den Anfangsjahren der Firma. Seit 1990 gehört das Unternehmen zur spanischen Luis Caballero Gruppe, einem der größten Spirituosenhersteller Spaniens. Marktführer für Amontillado. Lustau exportiert mittlerweile in über 40 Länder weltweit. Vier Fünftel der gesamten Produktion werden außerhalb Spaniens verkauft. Lustau Solera Reserva Escuadrilla ist ein Rare Amontillado Sherry aus Jerez.
