nose was pretty gentle- had red berries, dry soil, lots of savory herbs- almost a spicy garrigue- bit of rust.
flavors showed a little leather, bit of olive juice, blackberry, boysenberry, raspberry, faint cranberry.... but all the berries are subdued by a wonderful herbal, savory, meatiness. ribero del duero meets cote du rhone. yum. — 9 years ago
A small boutique producer- the black/purple wine monster gets mineral push back. Malbec 88%, Merlot 3%, Cabernet Sauvignon 7%, Shiraz 2% . Described in vinoteca as more "European" than the baseline Argentine vino, w oak monster merely growling in the background. Like a Ribero, maybe. — 9 years ago
Soft tannins with mild cherry taste. Nice.
Typical ribero del duero from this Emilio Moro offering ., perfect table wine — 10 years ago
stop it! Organic old-vine Tempranillo for this price?! And a Ribero del Duero wine for under 20? Somebody musta mispriced this one -snatch it up if you see it ! — 10 years ago

Viña Solorca ribero del duero barrica 2015
Deep garnet color. On the nose intense aromas of black cherry, black plum, spice, burnt toast,
On the palate, medium body, grippy chewy tannins and fruit on the palate. Would be great with a burger or grilled meat. 9.0 good value for money. — 7 years ago

Best of the three Ribero del dueros — 10 years ago
Highly recommended at Specs, so I went for it. A friend has also recommended Ribero del Duero over Rioja, so I thought I'd give it a go. A sort of mild berry-cherry-clove aroma. Mild tannins with a spiced black cherry taste. Really a mildish wine with moments of Spanish flair. Would probably like this wine with lamb or maybe pork tenderloin, depending how it was prepared. Weirdly, I'm curious to maybe try it with like some kind of Indian chutney plate? — 10 years ago
Very nice Ribero that we had @ La Azotea while in Sevilla. — 10 years ago

1 st class Ribero del Duero , rounded and fruity — 9 years ago
My wife likes it. This review is biased. This wine confirms my belief that the best values in the wine world are still from Ribero del Duoro. Good body, tannins integrate well with the sweetness of the wine. — 10 years ago
Best ribero available on the shelf for under £10 at the moment. Class — 10 years ago
Completely untrained and untrellised vines separate Viña Sastre from other producers. This wine embodies the power of Ribero del Duero. Juicy blackberry and plum with a spicy dash of Chinese Five Spice and smooth French Oak. Pretty sure @demaisonselections is there right now! — 10 years ago
A suave ribero — 11 years ago
Peter Sultan
What a treat: has a mean streak, meant in the nicest possible way- a dark, dark core, like Ribena (for Brits) but edgier, & gorgeous layers of red fruits built around that petrolly, black currant core. At first I thought Ribero when drinking blind! Much more nuanced & subtle. — 7 years ago
