Delicious. Vibrant, bold, berry flavor with a really great price tag. — 5 months ago
Tons of red and dark fruit. Mainly cherries and a bit of raspberry and spice. — 6 months ago
Must love roasted veggies. But this has shed some of its oak and youthful reduction. In a good spot with another 5-10 years of interest. — 7 months ago

39.97 from new season. Balanced. Round. Worth the price. Would buy again — 6 years ago
Wonderful acidity, well balanced fruit, a firm finish. This is top shelf Barbera and a real delight. Bravo. — 8 years ago
13.0% ABV Dark purple color. Nice oak . Very good wine. Paired w/ beef bourguignon. — 4 months ago
2020 vintage. A fave CA chard and producer. Medium-medium heavy body. Tasting slightly more tropical and advanced with less acidity than usual. Still absolutely delicious tho. Would like to retaste and reevaluate in 5-6 months tho. Based on 30 vintages of tasting this particular wine, betting it reconciles any tawdry, fleeting concerns that occupy my compromised palate and right quick. 01.22.25. — 5 months ago

Based on day 2. I really enjoyed this as it opened up. Great texture with lemon curd, stone fruit, marzipan and lively acidity. So well balanced. — 6 months ago
After sending back an oxidized, tired 2020 Rossi di Montalcino, the Somm had the waiter bring back this wine at around the same price point. Don’t sleep on #barberadalba from a great producer. Raspberry, plum, dusty dark fruit nose. So vibrant on the palate with lush yet tangy dark red fruit on the entry, gossamer tannins on the finish. Corking it after dinner and after the next day in the wine fridge still as alive. — 8 months ago

#lupa couldn't resist a second bottle of this one. Smooth easy to share with can lovers but not too big for me — 8 years ago
2021 vintage. A bit of everything. Esteemed producer. Excellent nose. Front-palate richness. Mid-palate power and presence. Pleasantly astringent and beyond substantial finish. I usually eschew Barbera d'Alba for the resto list but couldn't deny this one. Picked up two cases and may pick up more to have laying around for 1.5-2 years. At the ridiculous resto price of $26.67, I can't afford not to. So delicious. 01.29.25. — 5 months ago
drinking perfectly now. enjoy! — 6 months ago
RW’s bday party at Chi Spacca. We all loved it. Very smooth and balanced. Barolo-like — 8 months ago

This is very elegant & harmonious.
Dark sour cherry with some crushed stone and a pinch of orange peel & herbs. Fresh. Juicy.
On the palate this is very smooth, juicy, with great flow and beautiful balance. The 14.5% alc perfectly integrated.
Nice depth & length, too. — 4 months ago
